Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka of Adoration Ministry, Enugu has dismissed claims that he is encouraging idol worship.
The clergyman during a weekly service at the Adoration ground in Enugu, explained that he never said the ancestors of Africans were saints.
The fiery preacher while addressing his members said he would never promote idolatry, adding that he believes in only one omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient God.
The clergyman stated that his preaching pointed out that some ancestors were falsely accused.
According to him, “A few weeks ago, I was talking about false accusations to our ancestors, don’t misunderstand me, I was not saying our ancestors were all saints.
“I never meant that, and neither did I say the idols they worshipped should be sustained, never. I can never be an apostle for the promotion of idolatry; I have only one omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient God.
“Neither did I affirm nor disclaim that the things that are happening in our families have no past background.
“That was not what I said, I was overemphasizing false accusations, we should not over generalize.
“Lord save me, save the Adoration Ministry, save Fr Mbaka. Isaiah 38 verse 20 and God is always ready to save.”
