The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has announced the change of location for the collation of Saturday’s legislative rerun election results in Rivers State that the results of will be collated at various centres in the state.
Against the initial plan of collating the results at a central location, the commission declared that the results will be collated at various centres in the state.
The announcement came shortly after gunshots were heard around the commission’s headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The commission, in a statement, said that it will not collate the results at a central location.
“Collation of the Rivers Re-run elections will take place in the respective constituencies where such elections took place and not in one central location.”
