Senator Ahmed Babba Kaita representing Katsina North Senatorial District, the senatorial zone of President Mohammadu Buhari, officially announced his defection from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP) today Thursday.
Findings show that Senator Kaita defected to People’s Democratic Party on the account of intrigues, drama and misunderstanding happening in APC.
Senator Kaita left the APC for PDP on Wednesday but made the declaration on Thursday in time for the general elections in 2023.
The Katsina Senator has been frequenting the PDP secretariat since Tuesday to probably formalize his defection process.
It is not yet clear whether Senator Kaita is nursing a higher ambition and position than he’s presently occupying.
