Stephen Eze reacts to omission from Super Eagles W/Cup list

Stephen Eze has wished the Super Eagles the best as they head for the 2018 World Cup in Russia even though he described his dropping from the squad as sad.

Eze was one of the four players dropped by Head Coach Gernot Rohr on Wednesday before the team left for London for a date with England’s Three Lions on Saturday.

Others are home-based forward Junior Lokosa, goalkeeper Dele Ajiboye and defender Uche Agbo.

Reacting to the development via Twitter, the PFC Lokomotiv Plodiv defender expressed sadness.

“Sadly, my journey to (the) World Cup ends here,” the defender wrote.

“I am disappointed not to make the final squad, but I want to thank our coach and management for the opportunity.

“I wish my team the best and hope to join in celebrations when they bring the trophy home.”

Nigeria will take on England on Saturday at the Wembley Stadium as they prepare for the World Cup.
