Two NDLEA operatives reportedly nabbed fo k!lling 19-year-old woman

Two operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have been reportedly nabbed for shooting and killing a 19-year-old woman, Patience Samuel, in the Jaba Quarters area of Kano State.

It was gathered that the shooting occurred around 10:55 p.m. on Wednesday night.

The suspects were identified as 23-year-old Nass Ridwan Usman and 26-year-old Sna Ismaila Yakubu, both attached to the NDLEA’s Kano State headquarters.

A security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed on his X handle that a police team responded to the incident, evacuating the victim to Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital, where she was confirmed dead.

Items recovered from the arrested officers include their operational motorcycle, one live round of ammunition, four empty 7.62×51mm ammunition shells, and two knives.

Confirming the arrest on Thursday, the Kano State Police spokesperson, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said two suspects had been arrested.

Kiyawa added that an investigation had commenced and that the suspects had been transferred to the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department.

Efforts to reach the NDLEA spokesman, Mr Femi Babafemi, for comments failed.
