Veteran Nollywood actor, Patrick Doyle has called out popular Nigerian singer, Davido over his choice of outfit during his visit to the Olu of Warri, in Delta State.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) earlier reports that Nigerian singers, Davido, and Phyno, among others on Saturday visited the palace of the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III.
The artistes, alongside popular veteran comedian, AY Makun, and celebrity barman, Cubana Chief Priest, were in Warri for the highly “Warri AGAIN” event, organized by Amaju Pinnick, the former Nigeria Football Federation’s President.
In the photos that surfaced on social media, the ‘Feel’ crooner was captured wearing a white polo and brown shorts.
Reacting, Doyle who hails from Itsekiri in Delta State, via his verified Facebook page, wondered if Davido’s outfit to see the king was appropriate.
He captioned the photo: “Is this appropriate dressing to visit the Palace of a king the calibre of the Olu of Warri?”
Meanwhile, Davido, while speaking at the Olu’s palace, disclosed that he is from a respectful family, contrary to what many people think.
According to the singer, his occasional misdemeanours as a celebrity does not mean he didn’t have a proper upbringing.
He said, “I was brought up by great parents. I come from a very respectful family but sometimes, as OBO [star], I may act out of place.”
