A man has been arrested for stabbing a businessman over an argument in New Benin Market Area, Benin, Edo State.
The ugly incident happened on Saturday morning.
An eyewitness said that, “The businessman was stabbed this morning and people thought he died meanwhile he was rushed to the hospital where he is receiving treatment.
He further stated that due to how quick people peddle fake news, the rumor that the victim died is causing unrest in the market.
The suspect was rescued by police officers from irate mob who wanted a revenge.”
As at the time of filling this report police officers were currently at the scene to quell the situation.
