The Lagos State Government has begun the removal of shanties and illegal structures erected around the Jakande Estate and Mayegun, in Ajah.
In a video making the rounds, heavy-duty trucks and officials were seen demolishing structures in the area.

TheNewsGuru.com reported that Mr Olusegun Olaoye, the Public Affairs Officer, Lagos State Building Control Agency, stated that relocation notices and warnings had been given for the past two years.
