We are yet to receive the $100,000 that was promised – Ajibade

Rasheedat Ajibade of the Super Falcons has revealed that they have not yet received the promised $100,000 reward.

TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) recalls that President Tinubu had in July bestowed the national honor of Officer of the Order of the Nigeria, on the Super Falcons and the entire technical crew following their historic victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

The president also allocated three-bedroom apartments in Abuja to each of the players and the technical crew at the Renewed Hope Estate.

The President also directed the cash award of the Naira equivalent of $100,000 each of the 24 players and $50,000 to each of the 11-man technical crew.

Speaking in a recent Interview with media personality, Chude, Ajibade noted that although they have not been paid, she’s hoping that the government comes through with their promise.

She also revealed how a lot of people are already her neck, asking for their percentage.

She said: ‘‘We have not received the $100,000 that was promised by the government. Hopefully, I believe they will pay soon. A lot of people are already on my neck asking for their percentage. We are yet to receive any of the promises.’’
