Erhiatake, who represents Ethiope West federal constituency of Delta State in the House of Representatives, explained that her resignation from the PDP was due to her complete exclusion by the State chapter of the party.

In a letter dated Thursday, December 5, and addressed to the PDP Chairman of the Ethiope West Council area, she also cited the ongoing national leadership crisis, which she said has divided the party into implacable camps.
