Why I will not join nationwide protest – Seyi Law

Nigerian comedian, Oluwaseyitan Aletile, popularly known as Seyi Law has disclosed that he will not participate in the proposed nationwide protest.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Seyi Law made the disclosure via X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday as the federal government intensifies efforts to persuade Nigerians from the August protests.

Seyi Law stressed that he will not join the protest because he understands some steps being taken by the President Bola Tinubu administration to liberate the country.

He wrote: “When all is done and the dust has settled. We, the supporters of the President, must tell his aides the truth. They need to do better in communicating what the government has done, is doing, and going to do to better the lots of Nigerians.

“N50,000 grants were given to Nigerians. Who are the beneficiaries? Maybe we need a new way to identify them so that when they’re running mad online, we can tell them. Student loans are being disbursed, and the northerners are taking advantage of it, but the southerners are wallowing in doubts until it is will be too late.

“Kaduna and Niger states are working to see a revolution in agriculture while their southern counterparts are quiet, complaining about transportation of food products from the north. Why are our state governors being docile despite increased allocation? Lagos is taking giant steps, and other western states are not leveraging the proximity.

“There is a livestock ministry now, and trust it to be a northern affair when the south can plant the grass for feeding. Who will bell the cats?

“I may not join the protest because I understand some of the government’s steps to liberate the country, but how many will search for the information themselves. Let’s do better abeg so that Nigeria will not fail”.
