“We’re playing a path for the future because the future is not electric everything you see now is changing to electric cars because of the ozone layer because of carbon emission and all so we are moving to the electric era like i said moving and training the next generation to understand why  they need to be trained why they have to be trained and why the training is necessary is why we are here today to to ensure that this is done seamlessly” Akala noted.

“Therefore,we hope to introduce the electric vehicle industry to Nigeria as well Training of 2,000 Youths on EV Repairs and Engineering. This initiative is not merely about technical know-how.

“We will train 1,000 skilled technicians who can immediately serve in workshops, service centers, and local garages, ensuring that electric vehicles onNigerianroads receive proper care and maintenance. At the same time,we will train 1,000 young engineers, in close collaboration with Nigeria’s university system.” Wayne stated.

Also speaking at the event the Director General of YIPF, Hon. Tony Nwulu said the collaboration reflects the shared commitment to youth empowerment, sustainable mobility, and national development and a testament to what is possible when innovation meets purpose.

According to Nwulu “It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to this landmark occasion—the signing of two very important Memoranda of Understanding between the Youth in Parliament Forum and CAWIN Mobility Limited.

“Today, we are not just signing documents. We are creating opportunities for young people. We are opening a pathway for renewable energy and sustainable development.

“Through this partnership, we are achieving two historic milestones. The first is the free training of 2,000 Nigerian youths in electric vehicle (EV) repairs and maintenance. This will equip our young people with the skills and experience needed to service electric vehicles, which are already making their way into Nigeria. One of the biggest challenges in the coming years will be ensuring that there are skilled hands to maintain these vehicles when they develop faults. By preparing ahead, we are ensuring Nigeria is not left behind.

“The second milestone is the Lawmakers Car Acquisition Scheme (LCAS), another forward-looking initiative in partnership with CAWIN Mobility. This scheme recognizes the challenges lawmakers face in carrying out their duties and provides them with access to electric vehicles and other automobile options.

“These vehicles will be made available not just at affordable prices, but with flexible payment plans and reliable after-sales service. This initiative promotes cleaner mobility while also easing the burden on our legislators”.

Highlights of the occasion include signing of the Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU) and commission of  electric and hybrid cars.
