Heavily pregnant wife of Zamfara State Chairman of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ramatu Yunusa, has been abducted.
She was abducted from her husband’s house in Damba Gusau early Tuesday morning.
The State NULGE chairman, Sanusi Mohammed said the bandits broke into his house around one o’clock in the morning and abducted Ramatu.
Sanusi he was awake when the bandits jumped over the fence with the intention to abduct him but that he suddenly hid where they could not see him.
“They jumped over the wall and broke my door but before they could enter my room, I was able to hide somewhere.
“When they searched the house and could not see me, they abducted my pregnant wife, Ramatu,” he said.

The NULGE Chairman said his wife was due to be delivered of the baby at any point.
“She could give birth anytime from now because her expected delivery date is in this week”.
He stated that the bandits were yet to reach out to him as at press time.
Reacting to the matter, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Mohammed Shehu, said his office is yet to be fully briefed on the matter, stating he would uld get back to journalists when he gets the necessary information on the issue.
