BREAKING: COVID-19 patient dies in Kano, as State battles upsurge of infections

A Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) patient has died in Kano State, even as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday night announced that 12 additional cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the State.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the death case reported in Kano brings the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the country to 12.

The NCDC also reported another case of COVID-19 in Delta State, even as confirmed case drastically increased in Kano State, as total COVID-19 cases in Nigeria officially cross the 400 mark nationwide.

The NCDC on Wednesday night reported thirty-four new cases of COVID-19 in the country with 18 in Lagos State, 12 in Kano, 2 in Katsina, 1 in Delta and 1 in Niger.

Following the development, as at 11:20 pm 15th April there are now 407 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in Nigeria. 128 have been discharged with 12 deaths recorded.

As at 11:20 pm 15th April, number of states with confirmed cases of COVID-19 is 19 and the federal capital territory (FCT), Abuja. As it stands, Lagos now has 232 confirmed COVID-19 cases, FCT- 58, Osun- 20, Kano- 16, Edo- 15, Oyo- 11, Ogun- 9, Katsina- 7, Bauchi- 6, Kaduna- 6, Akwa Ibom- 6, Kwara- 4, Delta- 4, Ondo- 3, Enugu- 2, Ekiti- 2, Rivers-2, Niger- 2, Benue- 1 and Anambra- 1.
