BREAKING: Delta State gets COVID-19 mobile laboratory in Asaba

A team from Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Edo State has set up a Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) mobile laboratory in Asaba, the capital of Delta State.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Dr Mordi Ononye, the State Commissioner for Health received the items for the setup on behalf of the State Government on Monday.

Dr Ononye stressed that the COVID-19 mobile laboratory will help the State to scale up testing of suspected cases of COVID-19 in the State.

TNG learnt that the COVID-19 mobile laboratory would be setup at the Asaba Specialist Hospital.

According to Ononye, the effort was part of plans to reduce the spread of the virus in State.

“With this mobile laboratory, Delta State will be able to scale up our COVID-19 testing and nip it in the bud as early as possible,” Dr. Ononye said.
