The lawmaker representing Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency of Oyo State, Olatoye Sugar, has been shot dead, as suspected political thugs engage in violent clashes in parts of Ibadan, the state capital.
Olatoye was shot by suspected thugs in Elesu village in Ward 13, Lalupon, Lagelu Local Government Area of Oyo State, on Saturday evening.

It was learnt that Olatoye was rushed to the Accident and Emergency Centre of the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan where he reportedly gave up the ghost.
