COVID-19 spreads to 21 LGAs in Delta State

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has conducted a total of 2546 Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) tests in Delta State as the virus spreads to 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the State.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Delta has achieved 98% contact tracing success from the 912 confirmed cases of the 2546 COVID-19 test conducted.

According to an infographic shared by the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Monday, the State has received a total of 8517 calls to its toll free COVID-19 numbers.

A breakdown of the spread of the virus in the State showed that Oshimili South with 234 confirmed COVID-19 cases is the epicentre of the virus.

The virus is now present in Aniocha South, Bomadi Burutu, Ethiope East, Ethiope West, Ika North East, Ika South, Isoko South, Isoko North, Ndokwa East, and Ndokwa West LGAs.

Other LGAs are Okpe, Oshimili North, Oshimili South, Sapele, Udu, Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Ukwani, Uvwie, and Warri South.

As at 11:55 pm of Sunday 28th June 2020, there are 912 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Delta.
