Who exactly is Samuel Fejokwu? Sami F. has just completed 35 years of exemplary service as a veteran broadcaster like no other. Samuel Fejokwu shaped me into the person I am today in the media. He provided the voiceover for all of my Delta Broadcasting Service productions.
How many of you remember Oghenagbobor Ominike’s WORDS OF OUR FATHER from back then? This was the voice that delivered our father’s timeless words.
If you remember Laughing Stroke from the Voice of Delta Warri and Breakfast show, the name Sami F. will be familiar to you.
Sami F was, and continues to be, my media boss. He was my Coach, Mentor, and Boss when I made my first live television presentation in 2006 at Delta Broadcasting Service Asaba.
Interestingly, I was the producer of six television documentary programs, and yours truly, Samuel Fejokwu, provided the voice for all of them. An extremely humble Boss. I love you, sir. The accolades I always received after my various programs were not because my programs were exceptional, but because of the distinct voice behind my scripts. Sir, may God grant you a long life so that you can impact more people. This is only the beginning of a new launch for you.
Sami F has an extraordinary passion for broadcasting. Wake him up in the middle of the night to take the news, and he does not have to rehearse the script; off he goes. He is not envious of anyone. He is a truly extraordinary genius. He arrived at the station at 8 a.m., appeared on the screen two minutes later, and the news bulletin was completed flawlessly 30 minutes later. In fact, give him 200 script additions while on stage, and he handles them as if they were expected on air. When on air, he is everyone’s favourite person. Sami F is a perfectionist when it comes to broadcasting.
Despite having the best voice in documentary production, with excellent diction and pronunciation, he does not brag and doesn’t underrate others. He gives everyone an opportunity to be a star and no wonder his heaven was continuously open. Simple and accommodating professional. He does his thing in his own way. When you catch him in a bar, he goes inside the car and voices your script for you. When you run into him while eating, he will immediately voice your script. It makes him happy to see you satisfied. No wonder he is well-known and referred to as THE REAL SATISFACTION. He consistently satisfied his listeners and viewers.
Sir, I consider it a privilege to work with you. Beyond broadcasting, he served as His Excellency Governor Okowa’s Protocol Director while remaining humble and accommodating.
I Benjamin Atu I will never forget the impact you had on my life. I cannot pay you, but God will open new doors for you. Everything you have accomplished so far will be child’s play in comparison to the new level you will be operating now starting from today. We will always look up to you as mentor and guide. God bless your good heart. I love you, Boss. I praise God for allowing you to complete 35 years of broadcasting. It is an unusual accomplishment. Many desire to see their end in service but didn’t buy God kept you. Sir, I joined the rest of the world in celebrating you. We will always love you. I love you.
Your son, your loyal boy.
