Breaking: Supreme Court unveils panel to sit on appeal of Atiku/Obi, PDP

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has unveiled the panel to sit on the appeal of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and it’s presidential and vice presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, respectively, in the 2019 election.

Bode, Rhodes-Vivour, Amiru Sanusi, Uwani Abaji, Ejembi Eko, John Inyang Okoro, and Olukayode Ariwoola.

The PDP and its presidential candidate are challenging the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari at the February 23, 2019 poll.

Justice Muhammad and other six members of the panel filed into the courtroom at about 9.08 a.m. on Wednesday set for the hearing.

The hearing of the appeal challenging the victory of President Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced at the Supreme Court as at the time of filing this report.

“Good morning everyone, good morning counsels, we are ready for you…” CJN Mohammed said as the entire courtroom burst into laughter.

TNG correspondent present for a live reporting at the apex court said counsels have started indicating their various appearances.

Meanwhile party chieftains from both the APC and PDP are present in the court in large numbers.

Among the party, stalwarts include, Adams Oshiomhole of APC; Prince Uche Secondus; Peter Obi and Raymond Dokpesi of the PDP.
