There was wild celebration at the Alimosho Area of Lagos State on Tuesday after the results of the ongoing Lagos governorship primary was announced in favour of Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode lost to his main rival, Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Ward E2 of the Alimosho Local Government. He pulled 20 votes, Sanwo-Olu scored 9,860.
However, as soon as the results were announced, senator representing Lagos West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly called Yayi led supporters to celebrate Sanwo-Olu’s victory.
