Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for Osun State Governorship election, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has chosen Hon. Prince Kola Adewusi, as his running mate.
Senator Adeleke, on Wednesday, tweeted “I choose Hon. Prince Kola Adewusi as my running mate for the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
“We share a common goal which is to rescue the state from bad governance and set us on the path to recovery. So I urge all party loyalists and the great people of Osun to support us.”
The PDP primary was held at the 10,000 capacity Oshogbo stadium, and governorship position for the party was contested also by Dotun Babayemi.
Senator Adeleke won over 1,800 votes with the rest of the five candidates on the ballot sharing just five votes.
He was also the PDP’s flagbearer in 2018 when he lost to incumbent Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress.
The governorship election is scheduled to hold on July 16.
