Read: HABAKKUK 2:2-4
Meditation verse:
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry” (Habakkuk 2:3).
A vision is a desired picture of the future. Bridging the gap between where you are now and where you desire to be will require dedication, commitment, hard work, intentional action, and relentless pursuit in the face of hopelessness. Achieving anything worthwhile requires effort and time. Building a business, realising that dream, or fulfilling that vision will not happen overnight. Unless you adopt a long-term mindset or focus, you will get discouraged and give up. Visions are not for the faint-hearted.
Nehemiah 4:6 shows how the walls were rebuilt till all of it reached half its height, in the face of opposition from Sanballat and Tobiah, because the people worked with all their heart. You must put your all into accomplishing your vision, otherwise it may never become a reality. Sometimes you may need to keep working at it for years, without seeing any results or fruits. You must continue to demonstrate passion and devotion to what God has called you to do.
Life operates in a cyclical manner. When you plant a seed, it is buried under the ground, you cannot see it. However, this does not mean that nothing is going on underneath. In the fulness of time, the little seed springs up and begins to bloom. Your seed of greatness has been planted and you are being processed.
Your vison will get born in God’s time. In the meantime, adopt a long-term focus and keep doing what you are doing. Immerse your vision in prayers, praying about the processes. Do not go elsewhere, do not speak negatively. God is at work behind the scenes of your life. Wait for Him. Your vision is for an appointed time, and it will speak!
