Read: 2 CORINTHIANS 4:17-18
Meditation verse:
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”. (2 Corinthians 4:17).
The things that are happening to you though challenging are working in you a perfect work. They are growing in you a wisdom that is so rich, deep and original. This is the kind of wisdom that comes from triumphing over affliction. It cannot be taught or learned in the best business schools in the world. This is the type of wisdom needed to achieve what you were created for.
Joseph had dreams of greatness. But he had to go through the betrayal of his brothers, accusation of Potiphar’s wife, and time in prison. When it was time to step into the leadership role as Prime Minister of Egypt, he was fully equipped for the task. His wisdom had become home grown.
David spent time rearing sheep even after he had been anointed king by Samuel. Within that period, he learnt how to protect his flock. He went after a lion and a bear that came after his flock, striking and killing them. He faced Goliath and killed him. By the time it was time to ascend the throne as king, he had gained enough experience to led God’s people. His wisdom had become home grown.
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:17-18).
What are you currently going through? They just might be stepping stones to your destiny. Through it all the Almighty is ordering your steps. Let God perfect the great work He has begun in you. Your wisdom must be home grown.
