“A host always serves the best wine first,” he said. “Then, when everyone has  had a lot to drink, he brings out the less expensive wine. But you have kept the  best until now!” (John 2:10, NLT).

At the wedding in Cana, the wine ran out while the feast was still underway.  When the problem was presented to Jesus, He turned six waterpots into the  sweetest wine ever tasted. The master of the feast marvelled that the best had  been saved until last.

This story carries a prophetic assurance for you today: Jesus, the Bridegroom of  your life, has saved the best until now. Whatever lack, setbacks, or frustrations  you’ve endured, God is preparing a turnaround. Just as the empty waterpots  were filled with new wine, He is ready to fill the empty spaces in your life with  His abundance.

Psalm 65:11–13 says, “You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths  drip with abundance… the valleys are covered with grain; they shout for joy,  they also sing.” Do not lose confidence. If things are not yet good, then it is not  the end. God has not placed a full stop where He intended only a comma. Your  latter end will be greater than your beginning. As Ecclesiastes 7:8–10 says, “The  end of a thing is better than its beginning… Do not say, ‘Why were the former  days better than these?’ For you do not inquire wisely concerning this.”

Hold on in faith—the best is yet to come, and your story will end on a high note.

“I thank You, Lord, because You have reserved the best for me. Let every area of  lack in my life be filled with Your abundance, and may my latter days overflow  with joy, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
