Afcon 2017: Ivory Coast Manager, Dussuyer resigns

Ivory Coast manager, Michel Dussuyer has resigned as following his team early exit from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nation in Gabon.

The Defending Champions were eliminated from the Tournament by Morocco in the quarter Finals.

The Ivorian Football Federation announced the resignation of the Frenchman just after 18 months on the job.

The reigning Champions did not win any match in the competition after two draws with Togo, DR Congo and a defeat to Moroccans .

The Ivorian Football Federation praised Michel Dussuyer “professionalism, commitment and human quality”, adding that “the appropriate measures will be put in place to find his successor”.
