Chris Wood’s header five minutes from time rescued a point for Burnley against 10-man West Ham at Turf Moor.
Michail Antonio put West Ham ahead when he capitalised on Ben Mee’s misjudgement to touch the ball past Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope and then slide it into the empty net.
West Ham had Andy Carroll sent off in the 27th minute after he was booked twice in the space of 99 seconds for using his elbow.
Burnley felt they should have had the chance to equalise from the penalty spot after Hammers goalkeeper Joe Hart caught Wood without appearing to get anything of the ball.
But West Ham otherwise defended resiliently before Wood levelled late on when he headed home Johann Gudmundsson’s cross.
