EPL: Everton owner, Farhad Moshri puts club up for sale

Merseyside side, Everton has been put up for sale just few days after the firing of coack Frankm Lampard by the club’s owner, Farhad Moshiri.

Moshri will sell the club at a fee of £500m to any interested buyer.

Everton are currently battling relegation after a poor run of form in the English Premier League this season.

The Guardian is reporting that the British-Iranian billionaire is now set to sell the club following fierce criticism he and fellow board members are receiving from Toffees’ fans in recent weeks.

The owner is said to be seeking to recoup the funds he has invested in the Merseyside outfit”s new stadium – which is being built at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Meanwhile A number of potential buyers have also indicated interest in acquiring the clubside.

Some star players such as Anthony Gordon and Amadou Onana have skipped training as they are trying to force their way out of the club.

Chelsea and Arsenal are believed to be interested in both players.

It remains to be seen if Everton will escape relegation by the time the season ends as they did so too last season two games to the end of the season.

The club is expected to announce a new gaffer in the coming days.
