Barring last minute change, Super Eagles striker, Víctor Osimhen will not play for Chelsea next season as the London club has concluded to bring back Lukaku from his loan move.
Lukaku has spent the last two seasons away from Stamford Bridge at Inter Milan and Roma and was on the verge of joining Napoli for next season’s football before Chelsea’s latest move.
But the Blues are eager to recoup some of the £98million transfer fee they paid to sign the striker from Inter in 2021.
Chelsea have claimed that some factors have necessitated their resolve to keep faith in Lukaku.
Although the Blues are keen on keeping Lukaka, an asking price of £37m has been placed on the Belgian who earns around £325,000-per-week and there is said to be interest from Milan and Napoli.
