Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba admits he’s loving life again as he undergoes a first preseason at French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.
The French star has missed the past two seasons due to a doping suspension.
Pogba joined Monaco this summer and coach Adi Hutter has stated he expects the 32 year-old to make his debut in a month’s time.
Meanwhile, speaking with Bein Sport, Pogba stated: “We’re getting back to football, I’m like a child again. Right now, I’m preparing to join my teammates on the pitch; that’s the goal. I’m in great shape, and the staff is taking excellent care of me. It’s just a matter of time before I get back to my best and give it my all on the pitch.”
On Monaco, he added: “I don’t regret my choice. Every day I thank God for being here. I’m at a great club, with people determined to see the best Pogba again.
“There are certain steps to follow: I want to be sure I step onto the pitch and be myself, what everyone expects to see.”
