Manchester United have agreed a deal with Inter Milan for Ivan Perisic

Manchester United are desperate to sign Perisic from Inter Milan as Jose Mourinho targets more silverware in his second season in charge at Old Trafford.

Mourinho won the Europa League and EFL Cup last year but is determined to win the Red Devils a first Premier League title since the days of Sir Alex Ferguson.

A winger is high on his agenda despite already having the likes of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Jesse Lingard at his disposal.

The arrival of Romelu Lukaku from Everton means Mourinho is determined to build a team around the towering Belgium international.

And The Sun claim United have agreed on a £40m fee with Inter for their Croatia international.

It is said Perisic has told Inter all summer long he wants to quit the San Siro in favour of playing under Mourinho in England.

The 28-year-old is now supposedly due to fly out to America, where United are currently on their pre-season tour.

Perisic will then officially be unveiled and be their third signing of the summer.

Victor Lindelof was the first, with the Sweden international arriving from Benfica for £30.7million.

Mourinho then attempted to lure Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid but Los Blancos held firm.

So he settled for Lukaku, who made his debut during United’s 5-2 win over LA Galaxy on Saturday evening.
