No excuses against Zambia, Emmanuel Amuneke warns NFF

Former Nigeria international, Emmanuel Amunike, has called on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to begin now to strategize on how the Super Eagles will beat the Chipolopolo of Zambia on October 7 in Uyo, noting that Nigerians would not take any excuse from them, if anything goes to the contrary.

The former U17 world cup winning coach, who however assured the federation will not underestimate the Zambia after the 2-1 victory at Ndola last July, stressed that the fact that the Zambian’s are beginning to plan in earnest for the match by sending their CHAN and COSAFA squads to Spain and Ghana for training camps before the match against the Super Eagles, shows clearly that they know how important the match will be.

“It’s one thing to adequately prepare for a match and another thing to deliver on the match day. I am 100% confident that the Super Eagles will comfortably dispatch Zambia, but you know its football, where anything can happen. So, we must also prepare well and monitor the Zambians in their training camps to know what they are up to so we won’t be caught unawares,” Amunike said.

The Super Eagles, who are currently on top of Group B with 10 points will take on second placed Chipolopolo of Zambia on October 7 in Uyo when the World cup qualifiers resume.
