Rosemary Chukwuma of Team Nigeria has secured her spot in the semifinals of the women’s 100m at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Chukwuma finished in 3rd place with a time of 11.26 seconds. The race was won by Ewa Swoboda of Poland, who set a season’s best of 10.99 seconds, while Dina Asher-Smith of the United States came in 2nd with a time of 11.01 seconds.
Rosemary is one of three African women advancing to the semifinals, along with Marie-Josée Ta Lou of Ivory Coast (10.87 seconds) and Gina Bass of Gambia (11.01 seconds). The women’s 100m semifinals are scheduled to take place on Saturday at 6:30 pm.
