Super Falcons oyinbo defender, Plumptre nets second second hat-trick for Al-Ittihad, becomes league top scorer

Super Falcons oyinbo defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has fired her second hat-trick of the season to help Al-Ittihad beat Al-Ahly 6-2 in a Saudi Arabia Women’s Premier League clash on Thursday night.

Recall that Plumptre joined Al-Ittihad  from Leceister of England during the summer for an undisclosed fee.

It was the centre-back’s second hat-trick since joining  the Jeddah-based club side.

Plumptre scored Al Ittihad’s second, fourth and fifth goals of the game.

It would be recalled that the 25-year-old scored a hat-trick for Al Ittihad on matchday one against Eastern Flames FC in October.

She has now scored six goals in six league outings for her club this season.

Plumptre is also a joint-top scorer in the league with Tanzania’s Clara Luvanga, who plays for Al Nassr.
