    2023: Step down now from presidential race, Tinubu tells Atiku while in Gbaramutu Kingdom

    The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has asked the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, to step down from the presidential race, having run unsuccessfully for too many times.

    He gave the advice at Oproza, headquarters of Gbaramatu kingdom, Delta State, on the occasion of a meeting with traditional rulers and stakeholders of Niger Delta region.

    Addressing the monarchs and stakeholders, Tinubu said,”As I stand before you, there are few of us running. One says he is Atiku, how many times has he been running? He is now tired of running.

    ” Let’s tell him to go and sit down and quit the race. Enough is enough.”

    Tinubu described the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as a man that is not wanted by Nigerians because “he lies with arithmetic that no ‘mathematician’ can solve. To mention his name is a disgrace to me. He gives out wrong the arithmetic and wrong statistics on the economy. That is not what Nigerians want.

    “Nigeria needs honesty, they need the man who knows the road to take, and that man is me.”

    He identified himself as a son in-law of the Niger Delta and appealed for support in the electioneering campaign, promising to carry everyone along, develop the area and renew the hope of the people.

    Earlier, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, governorship candidate of the APC in Delta State assured that when elected as President, Tinubu will construct an access road to Gbaramatu kingdom.

    He further assured that before the general elections in 2023, the legal framework for the implementation of the Maritime University, Okerenkoko will be ready for assent by President Buhari.

    HRM Oboro Gbaruan 11, Eketekpe Agadagba, Pere of Gbaramatu kingdom, hosted the meeting and conferred chieftaincy titles on Tinubu, Omo-Agege and others. He requested an access road to his kingdom when Tinubu is elected President.

    Governors Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Mai Mala Buni of Yobe; Ministers of State, Petroleum Resources and Labour, Timipre Sylva and Festus Keyamo; Former House of Representatives Speaker, Dimeji Bankole; Omo-Agege’s running mate, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi; Delta APC Chairman, Chief Oseni Sobotie; Delta APC Campaign DG, Godsday Orubebe, and Bayelsa State APC Chieftain, David Lyon, were among dignitaries who graced the occasion.

    Fresh poll puts Obi ahead in 2023 presidential election as Atiku, Tinubu struggle

     

    Again, a fresh poll has put the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi ahead other presidential candidates gunning for President Muhamadu Buhari’s job in 2023.

    The Nextier poll, conducted in rural communities, interviewed 2,000 Nigerian registered voters in 12 states across the six geopolitical zones.

    Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, appears set to clinch the presidency when the election holds on February 25, 2023, according to a new poll conducted by Nextier, a multi-competency advisory firm.

    A majority of opinion polls conducted so far by various organisations in and outside Nigeria has consistently tipped Obi as the preferred choice among registered voters.

    The Nextier poll, conducted in rural communities, interviewed 2,000 Nigerian registered voters in 12 states across the six geopolitical zones. The Nextier survey team said they excluded the home states of the leading presidential and vice-presidential candidates.

    The poll suggests a three-horse presidential race between Mr Obi, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Though with a strong support base in Nigeria’s North-West, particularly his Kano home state, Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) is not considered a top contender, according to the survey.

    The poll results show that Obi leads in rural communities at 40.37 per cent. Atiku is at a distant second with 26.7 per cent, closely followed by Tinubu at 20.47 per cent.

    Voters in online poll by Arewa Trust (based in Kano) give Obi 95%, Tinubu 2.56%, Atiku 1.81%

    At 30 per cent, the LP candidate has the highest net favourability, the report said.

    “Atiku Abubakar is at 17.3 per cent; Bola Tinubu at 4.98 percent and Kwankwaso is at -8.70 per cent.”

    Atiku and Tinubu are preferred by respondents with no educational attainments or people who chose not to disclose their educational status, the survey showed.

    With less than 100 days to the election, eight out of 10 respondents are definite that nothing will make them change their minds and vote for another candidate. The survey stated that radio, social media, and family/friends are the main channels through which people get information on the different presidential candidates.

    About 76.2 per cent of Nigerians interviewed said the country is moving in the wrong direction saying that insecurity, bad governance, unemployment, a weak economy, and poverty are the most critical issues that need to be solved urgently.

    In the North-Central, the organisation said it visited Benue and Nasarawa states where they found that 59.8 per cent of people have made up their minds to vote for Obi. About 18 per cent said they will cast their votes for Atiku and 16.4 per cent have decided to vote for Tinubu while 5.1 per cent are undecided.

    A substantial 50.3 per cent of respondents in the North-East said they will vote for the candidate of the PDP; 27.2 per cent for the candidate of the APC and 14.6 per cent for the candidate of the NNPP. Only 5.8 per cent of people interviewed in the North-East said they will vote for Obi.

    Similarly in the North-West, 59.8 per cent of Nigerians said they will vote for Atiku; followed by Tinubu, 25.4 per cent; Kwankwaso, 12.6 per cent; and Obi got 0.6 per cent.

    The result, however, showed that about 67 per cent of the respondents will vote for Obi in the South-South, while another 11 per cent said they will vote for Atiku. 10.7 per cent said they will vote for Tinubu while 9.8 said they were still undecided.

    Expectedly in the southeast, 94 per cent of respondents said their preferred candidate is Obi and a meager 2.8 per cent said they will vote for Atiku. Tinubu and Kwankwaso got 0.6 per cent and 0.3 per cent respectively.

    Survey findings in the South-West put Tinubu ahead with 37.4 per cent; Obi at 24 per cent; Atiku at 16.5 per cent; and Kwankwaso at 2.3 per cent.

    Across all age groups, Obi recorded the highest level of preference followed closely by Atiku. On the other hand, Atiku has the highest preference among Muslim faithful while Obi is preferred by respondents that self-identify as religious or not.

    The poll results also show that Obi is the preferred candidate of the demography with high educational attainments. Also, while Atiku is preferred by the respondents who chose not to disclose their employment status (“blanks”), Obi is preferred by respondents across most of the employment groupings.

    Delta APC Campaign Organization has condemned the closure of routes leading to and from the Warri Township Stadium, venue of the APC Presidential Rally and Delta State Campaign flag off billed for this Saturday, 19th November, 2022.

    The presidential rally and state flag off are scheduled as flagship events as the party starts off its vigorous campaign to take over Delta State from the incompetent and clueless Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. The campaign will cover all nooks and crannies of the State in the months ahead.

    In a statement by Ima Niboro, Director, Communications and Media Strategy, the Campaign Organisation frowned at what it described as “perfidious road closures aimed at stalling Saturday’s grand events .“

    According to him, “information reaching us indicates that the Warri South local government council Chairman, Dr Michael Tidi, has given an order closing routes leading to the Warri Township Stadium with effect from Monday, November 14 through Monday, November 28.

    “The closed routes include Ubeji Roundabout, Okere Square and the Edjeba Community Road from SPDC Gate. He did not give any sensible reason for the closure but went ahead to provide very difficult ‘alternative routes’ such as Elizabeth Close for Ubeji Roundabout users, Eboh Road for Okere Square and DBS Warri route for Edjeba Community Road users.

    “Delta APC Campaign Organization views the action of the Warri South local government council Chairman as an attempt to frustrate and sabotage the flag off of the Presidential and Gubernatorial campaigns of the party by the ruling PDP in the Delta State.

    “Faced with it’s dismal performance in governance, the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa-led PDP administration has clearly seen that their misgovernance portends a coming electoral disaster at the polls next year, and have resorted to wickedness, illegality, and every dubious means possible to thwart their inevitable rout.

    “We want to assure that the APC in Delta State is strong, resilient and capable of crushing the infantile hurdles set by Okowa and his fawning minions, including the said Tidi.

    “The Campaign Organization is determined to vacate the closure order, and while at it, alternative routes of accessing the stadium on the flag off day shall be secured and communicated to our thronging members and supporters.

    “We appeal to our teeming members to remain law abiding and follow the instructions that will be released on alternative routes to the stadium,” Niboro said.

    A notable supporter of the Labour Party’s Presidential flagbearer and former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, has reacted to what he described as Prof Chukwuma Soludo’s treatise of illogicality and a bad attempt at journalistic warfare with, unfortunately himself.

    According to the visibly ardent supporter, Mr Onwuasoanya FCC Jones, “Mr Peter Obi and his official communication team are not interested in joining issues with him, nor any other person or group who is or are on a mercenary mission to distract the team from their focus of rescuing Nigeria from the shackles of bad governance brought about by years of incompetence, insensibility and corruption, which characters like Soludo, who has strove all these years to portray himself as an intellectual or even a technocrat, contributed more than a lot to.

    “Those who know Soludo closely have held strongly to the convinction that he is a “well packaged fraud” and a clay-brained intellectual, who was driven to the top by a combination of good fortunes, deceptive loyalty, inveigle, and a dangerous willingness to do dirty jobs for money or for power.

    “Many of us, especially, those of my age who were undergraduate activists at the onset of the Fourth Republic, when his likes were packaged as saints and geniuses and given a lot more credit than they deserve, have a Comrade, who was apparently taken over by the media creation of a sterling, brilliant image of the now better unveiled invidious Isuofia local chief. ..”

    According to Mr Onwuasoanya, “We have all since seen the real Stars of that Obasanjo era move on to higher callings in the international community, with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who is actually the star of that administration now holding sway at the World Trade Organisation after many other notable international appointments. But, in what should be the clearest evidence of his intellectual inefficiency, Soludo has rather been shuttling from Aso Rock to Agu Awka, with bowl in hand seeking anointing to be governor or to be settled with one appointment or the other by the federal government.

    “For a man who would want us to recognise and probably prostrate before him as an economic egghead, yet, his advice and recommendations are partly responsible for the economic disaster we are confronted with in the current Buhari administration, as he is one of the few men appointed into the Buhari Economic Advisory Board. How can a man who advised Nigeria into an unprecedented crash in the value of the Naira, lowest ever GDP in recent history, highest ever inflation since 1999, worse cost of living crisis in the history of Nigeria and of course, the most negative economic outlook in recent Nigerian history, consider himself qualified to pontificate on the right economic practices?

    ” Apparently When Soludo took up his tablet or any device he wrote with, he probably thought very lowly of Nigerians, if he thought anyone would take him seriously, giving his self-glorifying panegyric. Let me try to interrogate paragraph by paragraph, Soludo’s ignominious drivel into historical infamy.

    “It is obvious from the first paragraph of the long-winded venom, that our Isuofia brother was out for a dirty paid job. Not for himself, nor for his Party, but for his employers; the Abuja cabal and the bat. If an executive governor could sit down and personally author a piece of humorless comedy in response to what he aptly described as social media trolling of his by individuals he couldn’t identify by name or their official positions, then there is no better way to describe such a governor, but as an insecure miscast in power. If Soludo was not a miscast in Agu Awka, he should have known that he would only need to respond to statements made from official quarters or those that come directly from his “peers”. “Unfortunately, like every intellectual error, like a village cat who would always shout to roar his tigritude. “Soludo only wanted to remind people that he is a Professor and that he can write. Expectedly, he wrote gibberish.

    “I do not agree with him that he reads “The Man in the Arena” regularly, because if he did, he wouldn’t have gone ahead in a later paragraph to categorically dismiss the chances of the real man in the arena as long as the 2023 election is concerned. He would have taken to heart a stanza in that epigram which reads;

    “…who at the best knows the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

    “If Soludo got his training right, he would have known that there is nowhere in Igbo custom or belief system where it is assumed or affirmed that saying the truth is suicidal or dangerous. We say in Igbo that “Eziokwu bu ndu” and we are always encouraged to say the truth always. Mischievous elders like Chief Soludo are the ones who consider saying the truth a dangerous act, hence, speak equivocally and tell us it is being diplomatic. Like it is obvious in his long and misdirected recrimination, Chief Soludo has nothing to say but to pour out his bitterness and deliver on a dirty job for which he was deployed by his Abuja bosses. So, it is nonsensical for him to say he would refrain from saying certain things. That was a subtle appeal for ceasefire from the Obidients. He wants us to become afraid that he might spill the beans, hence, leave him alone. That’s an overused blackmailing strategy which doesn’t work on people like us.

    “No matter how stringently he tries to deny it, Soludo is clearly envious of Peter Obi, and I will give you five reasons why he is; 1. Peter Obi is a multibillionaire with clear evidences of how he made his every Kobo, and who, even though has never been indicted by any anti-graft agency in this country. If Soludo claims that he is a billionaire today, we will subject him to thorough investigation because he has been a salary earner all his life, and with what we know about his legitimate earnings, he would be a thief to be a billionaire. 2. Peter Obi is the most popular and masses-oriented Nigerian politician alive. Soludo would be ready to sacrifice everything he has to enjoy 10% of the love Peter Obi enjoys from Nigerians. 3. Peter Obi has kept a clean record throughout his stay in public office. Had Soludo not been desperately romancing with every government in power, he would probably had been in jail now for the multibillion Naira scam he is being investigated for by the EFCC. 4. Peter Obi’s first political outing was on his own terms, when he won the governorship of Anambra State, Soludo may be one obscure and probably frustrated lecturer in some not too Ivy League University somewhere, if Obasanjo hadn’t been sold a dummy that he was hiring a firebrand economist, who turned out to be the shlockiest appointee in Obasanjo’s economic and who would have wrecked our economy had Obasanjo not had an Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala at the helm of the economic team. 5. Peter Obi governed Anambra for eight years without using the power of a governor or the resources of Ndi Anambra to fund his children’s career. In less than one year as Anambra governor, Chief Soludo has used Anambra’s resources and his powers as governor to organise a fashion show for his daughter and to launch an album for his son. It is clear enough that without him becoming Anambra governor, these children of his might have as well not got any mention in the industry they are trying to play in.

    “You do not say that someone is your friend, you show that you are someone’s friend. Yours is certainly not the kind of friendship anyone would want to keep, because you are a dangerous friend. No true friend takes to the public to sing about purported private discussions he had with a friend.

    “Assuming you actually offered Peter Obi the option of joining APGA to run for presidency, it is because Peter Obi has seen through your treachery and knows that APGA would not provide the platform for him to run an effective and successful presidential campaign, that he turned down that poisoned chalice of a gift. And you cannot claim to be a true democrat in one breath and in another boast about how you planned to impose someone as your Party’s candidate without following the laid down democratic principles of election. Peter Obi joined Labour Party because no single individual would decide what happens to him and what doesn’t. The APGA ticket was a setup to extinguish the fire of his campaign. And, would he have been joining the Victor Oye illegal executive or the authentic executive led by Edozie Njoku?”

    The All Progressives Congress, APC has explained why its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu shunned the Arise tv debate.

    TheNewsGuru.com, (TNG) reports this was contained in a statement issued and signed by the spokesperson of the Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, Festus Keyamo, SAN on Sunday.

    Giving credible reasons, Keyamo explained that :”firstly, many radio and TV networks in Nigeria have indicated interests to host such debates and out of deference to other TV and radio stations, our candidate will not be making selective appearances in some networks, whilst ignoring others. As President of Nigeria, by the Special Grace of God, he intends to treat all persons and businesses fairly and equally.

    “Secondly, the busy and hectic campaign schedules of Asiwaju Tinubu will not permit him to honour all such invitations by different radio and TV networks, hence our decision for him not to start with one TV station and later ignore others.

    “Thirdly, our candidate had long before now realised the importance of speaking directly to Nigerians and shortly after unfolding his Action Plan as President embarked on Town Hall meetings beginning with his interaction with the Business Community and other stakeholders in Kano followed by the Town Hall meeting and presentation by experts last week in Lagos. Tomorrow, he will be interacting with Agro and Commodity Groups in Minna, Niger State.

    “Whilst we thank Arise TV for the invitation, we want to assure Nigerians that we shall continue to hold these debate groups and Nigerians in high esteem. Nigerians will hear from our candidate loud and clear through other forums.

    “Lastly, out of profound respect for Nigerians, we urge all our party structures and supporters at the grassroots to continue to organise town hall meetings to educate Nigerians on the Action Plan of our candidate as we believe a grassroots-approach to reach Nigerians will also be more profound.

    The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu and his counterpart in Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar were both visibly missing at a presidential debate designed to enable aspirants to speak on their plans for Nigeria.

    Atiku was however represented by his running mate, Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa.

    Among some of the candidates of Nigeria’s 18 presidential candidates who were invited for the debate, a ‘presidential town hall’ organised by the Centre for Democracy and Development and Arise Television, only Peter Obi of the Labour Party; Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, (NNPP) and presidential candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party, Kola Abiola, attended the event in person.

    The candidates were selected based on the performance of their parties in an online survey by the organisers during which all the 18 political parties were listed in alphabetical order.

    “The result of this survey informed our decision to invite the highest four scoring parties – LP, APC, PDP and NNPP to the town hall,” the Director of the CDD, Idayat Hassan, said in a statement.

    The Lagos chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC has raised alarm that the accounts of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been cloned by hired cybercriminals by opposition parties in the state.

    This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the party’s spokesperson, Seye Oladejo.

    In the statement, Oladejo said:” Security agents are on the trail of cybercriminals and their political collaborators who have cloned the accounts of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

    “The criminals generate spurious correspondences to defame Sanwo-Olu by misinforming the public about an alleged plan to compromise the electoral process.

    “This is to whip up public resentment against Sanwo-Olu whose superlative performance and the massive show of support by the electorate are driving the opposition into morbid desperation.
    In clear recognition of the popularity of the ruling progressive party which has been at the helm of affairs since 1999, the opposition has concluded that its waterloo in the governorship election is as sure as day.

    “Unable to accept its imminent defeat and driven by the delusion of incurable optimism, the opposition has chosen to abuse the advancement in digital technology by turning to the criminalization of the digital space, hacking and cloning individuals’ accounts to misrepresent them and damage their reputation.

    “We have evidence that this evil act is the latest ploy of the opposition to disrupt the harmony that Lagosians have witnessed since the electioneering period began.

    “They will not succeed.

    The All Progressives Congress, APC has called for the immediate and unconditional of its party chieftain, Ebikpoemi Ugo from detention allegedly perpetuated by Bayelsa State Governor, Diri Douye.

    TheNewsGuru com, (TNG) reports this was contained in a statement issued by APC presidential campaign council, Chief Spokesperson, Festus Keyamo, SAN.

    Keyamo in the statement noted that: “​We are extremely disturbed by the actions of Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State in respect of the arrest, charge and remand in prison custody of the APC Publicity Secretary of Kolokuma/Opokuma L.G.A of Bayelsa State, Mr. Ebikpoemi Ebikibina Ugo. Incidentally, this gentleman is also the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (ABAT) Media Center Co-ordinator, Bayelsa State.

    “We have been reliably informed that, following a compliant by Gov. Douye Diri of Bayelsa State to the Police, Mr. Ugo was arrested by the Bayelsa State Police Command on the 18th of October, 2022 for making two Facebook posts as follows:

    ​(a)​“What about the Federal Government N150M sent to the State?

    (b)​“Shameful broadcast and you still have mind begging Muhammadu Buhari for more money when the one he brought was pocketed.”
    ​(See the facebook posts attached).

    (3)​Mr. Ugo was then detained illegally for several days before he was arraigned in court for “Defamation of Character” and “Conduct Likely to Cause Breach of Peace”. He was subsequently remanded in prison custody, where he remains till date under terrible conditions.

    (4)​To say we are shocked by the conduct and complaint of Governor Diri is an understatement. Here is an opposition Governor who is at the forefront of the call for State Police already misusing the Police to oppress a hapless and harmless citizen just asking valid questions (even without mentioning the Governor’s name).

    ” These are the same leaders of the opposition that are quick to cry blue murder at the slightest provocation if the act had been that of an APC Governor or the Federal Government. These are the same opposition Governors that are begging Nigerians to re-elect them because they have allegedly turned a new leaf. Alas! The leopard cannot change its spot.

    “​It is on record that despite the deluge of misinformation and abuses against President Muhammadu Buhari on a daily basis on social media, he has NEVER FOR ONCE used the Police to clamp down on anyone as a result of a mere defamatory post on social media.

    ” Instead, he even conferred some of them with National Honours recently. If the APC Governors retaliate in their various States by clamping down on officials of opposition parties, it will be an invitation to total chaos across the country.

    “​It is unfortunate that there is always a tendency to see it as “oppression” only if it is an act of the ruling party. However, the Press and the entire gamut of Civil Society cannot apply a different standard because this dastardly act is being perpetrated by an opposition Governor.

    In the light of the foregoing, we make the following SPECIFIC DEMANDS:

    “That Gov. Douye Diri of Bayelsa State IMMEDIATELY withdraws his compliant to the Police, which in turn should IMMEDIATELY withdraw the Charges and discontinue the trial of Mr. Ugo and set him free; or

    “Gov. Douye Diri should IMMEDIATELY instruct the Attorney-General of Bayelsa State to take over the matter from the Police and enter a nolle prosecui (discontinue the trial).

    ALTERNATIVELY

    (3)​The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, should IMMEDIATELY instruct the Bayelsa State Police Command to withdraw the Charges against Mr. Ugo forthwith and set him free.

    “Anything short of any of these options above will be oppressive, barbaric and undemocratic and would be consequently unacceptable to us and we shall respond fully in a lawful and legitimate manner.

    Palaver for the All Progressive Congress, APC, as the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, has okayed a fresh suit that is seeking to disqualify all its candidates from contesting the 2023 general election.

    The suit marked; FHC/ABJ/CS/1864/2022, was brought before the court by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

    Specifically, PDP, is challenging the legality of the process that produced both national officers of the APC and its candidates for the forthcoming elections.

    It is praying the court to disqualify all candidates that were nominated to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, by the Governor Mai Mala Buni led Extraordinary Convention Committee of the APC.

    The Plaintiff, through its team of lawyers led by Mr. Ayo Ajibade, SAN, maintained that every nomination that was made by the Governor Buni-led Committee, was done in breach and gross violation of extant provisions of both the Electoral Act, 2022, and the 1999 Constitution, as amended.

    PDP anchored the suit on a subsisting judgement the Federal High Court delivered on September 30, 2022, which declared as illegal, unlawful and unconstitutional, all actions and activities that were carried out by the governor Buni-led Committee, among which included the nomination of governor Adegboyega Oyetola for the recently conducted gubernatorial election in Osun State.

    The Plaintiff noted that the high court had in its judgement that was delivered by Justice Emeka Nwite, nullified the nomination of both Oyetola and his Deputy, Benedict Alabi as APC candidates for the governorship poll on the premise that governor Buni who submitted their names to the INEC, violated provisions of Section 183 of the Constitution and Section 82(3) of the Electoral Act 2022.

    Among 53 persons that were cited as defendants in PDP’s fresh suit, included the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, his running mate, Kashim Shetima, as well as all governorship candidates of the party and their deputies.

    The suit is also seeking to disqualify all APC candidates for the Senatorial and House of Representatives elections.

    Meanwhile, the suit has been assigned to Justice Inyang Ekwo who has fixed it for mention on November 22.

    The court further directed service of all the relevant processes on all the defendants.

    The All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Gubernatorial Candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, have donated N200million in cash and relief materials to flood victims in Delta State.

    Senator Omo-Agege stated this while addressing a massive crowd Wednesday at Osubi Airport, where party faithful gathered to receive Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu who was billed to visit IDP camps in the state.

    According to him, “The reason of the APC Presidential Candidate visit is to show solidarity empathy and sympathy to People as a result of the very devastating flood in most of our communities here in Delta State. And also to provide leadership in our fight to uproot the very bad governance imposed on Delta State in the past Seven and half years”.

    Explaining the reason for the absence of Tinubu, Omo-Agege said; “Today, as you all know because of the strike in the aviation industry and the purpose of his coming is to visit the IDP camps and we can not get there by road and we have made arrangements to use helicopters to move our president in waiting to Kwale in Delta North, patani Delta south and Okwagbe in Delta Central but because of the strike we are not able to get helicopter For that we have decided to reschedule this visit for the next couple of days after the aviation strike has been called off. He has also told me that because of the empathy he has for the people, That I should announce the sum of 50million Naira to deltans who have lost their homes and livelihood and this 50million will be made available.

    At Okwagbe were he led the the Campaign team, Omo-Agege noted that the modality of sharing will be done through the Delta APC Director General of his Campaign, Elder Godsday Orubebe.

    He said; “No one man can restore the lost of our people. My self standing here today in my capacity and the governorship candidate for the APC and Deputy Senate President, we have acquired relief materials worth 150million Naira; and beginning from Friday we are going to set up a task force that will move from one Internally Displaced Persons (IDP)camps in the whole of Delta State to distribute the materials to people who have been displaced by the flood”.

    While the Delta State Deputy Governorship Candidate of APC, Rt. Friday Osanebi left the delegation on behalf of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Delta North at Kwale, the Director General of Delta APC Campaign Elder Godsday Orubebe led the delegation of Delta South to patani IDP Camps respectively.

    You will not regret your decision to enthrone a new government in Delta State. We all know that Okowa has been a bad boy we all know that almost seven and half years okowa has received 2.8trillion Naira If you look at delta State do you see anything that looks like 2.8 trillion Naira.

    That is the reason we must chase Okowa away and his house boy. We don’t want his house boy to be the governor of Delta State. We must make sure we put an end to this borrowing, are we not tired of borrowing loans? Are we not tired of increasing school fees for our children? Are we not tired of this joblessness, are we not tired of not paying our pensioners?

    Are we not tired of turning warri to a Keke headquarters? As you go back home talk to your people That we are tired of a governor led by a traitor. Anybody who has betrayed. southern Nigeria cannot be allowed to be vice president. We don’t want vice president, we want president.we have given president to northern Nigeria to 8years, it is our turn.
