The Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has disowned the 27 pro-Wike lawmakers in the state. According to Rivers PDP the 27 defected lawmakers can no longer be accepted back to the party.

The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Rivers State chapter, Darlington Nwauju has said that the party is not is aware of the defection of the 27 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying that they have not met the constitutional requirements of the party.
