    Pastor Adeboye announces theme for 2021 Holy Ghost Congress

    Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has announced the theme for the 2021 edition of the church’s Holy Ghost Congress.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Pastor Adeboye announced the theme of the 2021 Holy Ghost Congress of the RCCG on Thursday, being day 4 of the church’s 69th Annual Convention.

    Adeboye, who distinguished between the church’s Annual Convention and the Holy Ghost Congress, announced the theme of the 2021 Holy Ghost Congress as: The Siege is Over.

    The revered man of God, fondly referred to as Daddy GO, speaking on Thursday said the church’s Annual Convention is an inreach, while the Holy Ghost Congress he said is an outreach.

    Pastor Adeboye said: “Any time there is a major gathering like this, there could be two distinct approaches.

    “One approach is called an outreach. An outreach is when you are reaching out to people; people who are not yet in the church, sinners; you want to bring them in. So we call such a gathering an outreach.

    “For example, the Congress in December is an outreach. That is why you find out that everyday, every topic is the kind that people will clap, shout and jump.

    “But the second type of gathering is an inreach, when you reach inward, to those who are already inside. So the Convention is an inreach.

    “The Convention is supposed to be a gathering where we look at ourselves, where we discuss issues about those of us who are already children of God on our way to heaven, and we want to discuss how to finish well, and finish strong.

    “Of course because the Bible says you are to love your neighbour as yourself, we still throw in a little bit of outreach into the Convention. Like tomorrow for instance, Holy Ghost Night, that is an outreach. That is why you find out that the crowd of Friday night is always more than the crowd on other days, because it is an outreach.

    “Incidentally, the Lord has already told me the theme for the Congress in December. The theme for this year’s Congress in December is the siege is over”.

    TNG reports the 2020 edition of the Holy Ghost Congress of the RCCG was themed: Time to Fly. The 2020 edition was held virtually as a result of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

    General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed a hilarious encounter he had with an old time girlfriend he narrated he did virtually everything with.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Pastor Adeboye, fondly referred to as Daddy G. O., made the revelation in his message during the welcome service, being day 3 of the RCCG Annual Convention 2021 on Wednesday.

    Adeboye revealed that when he was yet to give his life to Jesus Christ, he had so many girlfriends, but that there was a particular one he did everything with.

    While the revered man of God did not reveal the identity of the girlfriend nor give details of everything they did together, he narrated a later encounter they had.

    Pastor Adeboye narrates: “I told you that before I gave my life to Jesus Christ, I had many, many girlfriends. But among all of them, there was one that I did everything with, and I won’t tell you the details.

    “Then, we separated. She went her way; I went my way. We didn’t see for years, and she got married, and I got married.

    “In the meantime, I got born again. When I was working at the University of Ilorin, looking after our little church there, in the meantime, they transferred her husband also to Ilorin.

    “She had given birth to a child that was born lame. Someone told her there is a pastor up there; take your child to him. If he prays for the child, the child will walk. So, she came to the mission house.

    “She saw some people at the veranda, and said I want to see the pastor. They said he is inside. And then she came in and saw me. We greeted. Old flames. How are you? Long time, no see. Where have you been?

    “And then she said I want to see the pastor. And I said yes, can I help you? She said I said I want to see the pastor. I said I am the pastor. She said, you? I said yes. You are the pastor? I said yes. She said you will pray and God will answer?

    “She didn’t know that I have already met the Lord Jesus Christ, that old things have passed away, that all things have become new. And we prayed a simple prayer and the child began to walk”.

    TNG reports the RCCG Annual Convention 2021 is the 69th Annual Convention of the church. Themed: A New Wave of Glory, the Convention will run from 2nd of August 2021 to 8th of August 2021.
