Defection: PDP leaders urge Adediran to rejoin party

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretary, Mr Ude Okoye, has led other party chieftains to visit the party’s 2023 Lagos State governorship candidate, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, over his resignation.

This is contained in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos by Adediran’s spokesman, Mr Gbenga Ogunleye.

Recall that Adediran, leader of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, announced his resignation from the PDP on Monday, citing betrayal and lack of discipline.

Barely 48 hours after leaving the party, PDP leaders visited Adediran at his Abuja office, urging him to reconsider his decision and return to the party.

Ogunleye said the PDP leaders pleaded with Adediran to revisit his decision and withdraw his resignation from the party.

“The National Secretary of the PDP, Ude Okoye, former National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, and ex-House of Representatives member, Shina Peller, visited Adediran.

“They urged him to reconsider his resignation and return to the PDP,” Ogunleye said.

The delegation acknowledged Adediran’s reasons for leaving but encouraged him to stage a comeback.

“While appreciating their support, Adediran assured them of his willingness to collaborate with friends in his political journey, in spite of differences in political alignment,” Ogunleye stated.

Recall that Adediran said on Monday he left the party with his supporters across the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas of Lagos State.

He attributed his decision to betrayal by party elders and the PDP’s inability to resolve its internal crisis in Lagos State.

He stated that his next political move would be revealed in the coming months.

  • I remain Lagos PDP leader – Jandor boasts

I remain Lagos PDP leader – Jandor boasts

The Lagos State PDP Governorship Candidate in the 2023 General Elections, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), says he remains the apex leader of the party at the moment, and is ready to provide leadership ahead of 2027 elections.

Adediran disclosed this while addressing party faithful and leaders during a ‘Thank You Parley’ to appreciate members of his campaign council and non-partisan individuals who supported his governorship aspiration.

“As far as Jandor is concerned, by the constitution of our party and that of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as the candidate of the party as at today in Lagos State, I am the leader.

“I am saying this with due respect to all other faithful leaders that I met in PDP.

“They should know this is the constitutional matter, I do not have control over it except I choose to leave tomorrow, and I am not going anywhere. This is my party.

“For every party member, who is looking for a true leader that is selfless, a leader you can beat your chest over, I am ready to provide leadership for all of you, irrespective of the tendencies you belong to,” he said.

According to him, any leader who doesn’t want to be a member of PDP again should should carry his bag and go.

He said that after some party leaders had played double standards in the last general elections, it was about time to look at the like-minds to forge the party ahead.

“For those who have declared for Labour Party, they should stay there, for those who have gone to APC, they should enjoy it. Those of us that remain, let us know ourselves,” he said.

According to him, the event is not to mourn the past but for him to genuinely appreciate all that had sleepless nights with him during the 2023 electioneering.

“In 2023 election, we worked, we went everywhere – places that had never been visited in the history of this state politically – to campaign to people.

“We slept in many local government areas and stayed with the people. That was the kind of rigorous campaign we ran in 2023 elections.

“One cannot put in such investments and some people decided to play against the party, and won’t get pained.

“We didn’t lose 2023 election because we didn’t work, no! That is why I am here to appreciate all of you. You are my heroes, you did very well.

“We ran a campaign like never before. I brought you together to say thank you. You did well.

“We have chosen this path, there is no going back. We will stay firm so as to give Lagos a breath of fresh air,” he added.

Adediran urged the national leadership of the party to listen to voices of patriotic and loyal leaders calling for firm action against unpatriotic leaders.

He said that no one would take the party serious if such leaders were still forced on the people.

Stating that he had no regret whatsoever contesting in the poll, the PDP leader said that he was rather proud about his achievements in the election.

He said that some PDP leaders had been working against the party over the years and it had become their stock in trade.

Adediran said that it was about time the genuine leaders looked inward for like-minds to rebuild the party for future elections.

Speaking on the state of the nation, Adediran urged President Bola Tinubu to seek assistance wherever it could be found, and engage right people to end the suffering of the masses.

The candidate, who noted that the provision of palliatives remained a stopgap, said that the sudden removal of fuel subsidy had brought about untold hardship to the people.

He said such step should have been better approached.

Also speaking, Otunba Segun Adewale, a former Lagos PDP Chairman, blamed the repeated defeat of PDP in Lagos State on unpatriotic leaders who usually corner funds for election logistics to weaken party’s chances of winning.

Adewale, who vowed to support Adediran if he would be running in 2027 general elections, said he remained in PDP till the moment because of the candidate and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

“I will support you for 2027. It is only a mad man that will keep doing same thing same way and expect different results.

“We will stay with you, but let us recognise those who are enemies of the party and do things differently if we want to win,” Adewale , popularly known as Aeroland, said.

Commending Lagos PDP members who were still loyal to the party, Adewale said, “It is not easy to be a PDP member in Lagos. We have been failing and failing, yet many are still with us.”

He said that the party needed more transparency in choices of candidates and management of elections logistics.

Adewale said that leadership in the party should not be by age but by electoral weight and performance at polling units, wards and local governments.

Also speaking at the event, Pa Christopher Osoba, a PDP Chieftain, who urged the candidate not to be discouraged by the outcome of the poll, promised to still support him in the next electoral cycle.

He called on party leaders and members to come together, work together and end all the grievances.

The party elder said that with unity, it was possible for the party to still win Lagos State.

“We should put round peg in round hole. We have learnt our lessons. We should forget the past and move forward,” Osoba said.

On behalf of the non-indigenes in the party, Dr Jonathan Nnaji, who expressed concern that PDP had been working against itself, commended Adediran for being fearless and courageous.

The event, held at Liberty House, Jandor’s Campaign Office in Ikeja, brought together hundreds of PDP loyalists and leaders.

PDP’s Jandor reacts over Sanwo-Olu’s victory at Supreme Court

The  Lagos State PDP 2023 governorship candidate,  Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor) has congratulated Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu over his victory at the Supreme Court on Friday.

Adediran, in a statement personally addressed to Lagos residents after the apex court dismissed his appeal on Friday, said it was time to cease fire.

According to him, though he is disappointed by the Supreme Court ruling upholding Sanwo-Olu’s re-election, it is time for him to move forward.

“I also use this opportunity to congratulate  Sanwo Olu. I wish him a peaceful, development and people-focused tenure,” Adediran said.

The PDP candidate appreciated the people and the party for the privilege to offer himself to serve as the governor of the state in the 2023 governorship election.

“We have expressed our reservation on the conduct and the outcome of the election.

“This,  we did,  by taking advantage of the provisions of the constitution and the electoral law to file petition at the election tribunal through to the Appeal court and finally, the Supreme Court.

“This is not the outcome we envisaged or worked so hard for.

“But I am very proud of the values we share and the vision we hold for our dear state. And for the very robust, vast, diverse, people-centered and rural-network campaign that we built and executed together.

“I know how disappointed you are with the outcomes of the election because I feel it too.

“The frustration, intimidation, and betrayals but our disappointment must be overcome by our love for our dear state,” Adediran said.

According to him, since the election is over, and all avenues to seek redress for observed electoral wrongdoing have been exhausted, we need to cease fire.

“We need to  let the declared winner govern on the basis of his vision for the development of our state.

“Let the electorate be the judge of their performance.

“This will not in any way, deter me from continuing to contribute my quota to the development of our dear state and toward achieving the desired economic emancipation and a breath of fresh air in governance for our people.

“I appreciate you all for your faith and trust in me. I thank our party faithful and all lovers of Lagos PDP for their dedication and hard work during and after the elections.

“I urge you not to relent in your support for our quest for a greater Lagos .”

Recall that LP’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and PDP’s Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor) had approached the apex court to challenge Sanwo-Olu’s victory in the election.

The LP candidate urged the Supreme Court to hold that the March 18 election was marred by irregularities and non-compliance with the Electoral Act.

He also added that the Lagos state deputy governor was not qualified to contest the election.

Similarly, Adediran filed 34 grounds of appeal, asking the apex court to upturn the verdict of the Lagos State governorship election tribunal and the court of appeal.

Meanwhile, the apex court in a unanimous decision on Friday, upheld Sanwo-Olu as duly elected governor of Lagos state.

The Court dismissed the appeals of LP’s Rhodes-Vivour and PDP’s Adediran for lacking in merit and a gross abuse of court process.

The Supreme Court dismissed the two separate appeals that challenged Sanwo-Olu’s return as winner of the governorship election held in the state on March 18.

Lagos State PDP Governorship Candidate in the 2023 General Elections, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (a.k.a. Jandor), is seeking transfer of his appeal against the verdict of the Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

The tribunal headed by Justice Arum Ashom dismissed Adediran’s petition and upheld  re-election of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the March 18 governorship election.

Adediran challenged the verdict at the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal.

However,  in a statement signed  by the Head of his media and  communication team, Mr Ogunleye,  on Monday in Lagos, Adediran prayed the Court of Appeal president to transfer  the case to Abuja.

“Adediran, the first petitioner in the Appeal case numbered CA/L/EP/GOV/29/2023, hereby requests for the transfer from Lagos Division to Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal for fairness, objectivity,’’ he said.

He said that his request was in line with a directive of  the Chief Justice of the Court of Appeal, Dongban-Mensem, allowing transfer of some appeals.

He noted that Dongban-Mensem allowed transfer of appeals in 17 states in the southern Nigeria  to the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal.

He prayed for transfer of his appeal to the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal.

“This transfer will safeguard neutrality, equity and discourage interference,’’ he said.

Lagos guber: PDP’s Jandor rejects tribunal judgement

The Lagos PDP Gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 general elections, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (aka Jandor) has rejected the ruling of the Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

The tribunal declared as dead on arrival, the petition by Adediran against Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s re-election.

The tribunal held that evidence before it showed that the petition lacked merit.

Adediran had contended that Sanwo-Olu was wrongfully nominated and sponsored by his party, the All Progressives Party (APC) and, therefore, was not qualified for the election.

Reacting, Adediran, in a statement by Mr Gbenga Ogunleye, Head, Media and Communications JANDOR4GOVERNOR Campaign Organisation, expressed displeasure over the ruling of the Justice Arum Ashom-led 3 man tribunal.

Adediran said: “it is quite unfortunate that the tribunal in its wisdom refused to accept the credible and convincing evidence presented by his legal team on the non-qualifications of the APC and the Labour Party candidates in the election.”

Adediran posited that the decision of the tribunal did not reflect the provisions of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Electoral act 2022 on issues bothering on qualification of a candidate in an election.

He, however, assured the residents of the state that Lagos PDP would study the judgment and decide on the next step to be taken.

“This is not the end of the electoral process, it is just another stage. We will study the judgment and take decisions in the best interest of Lagos residents” he said.

Similarly, the Lagos State PDP said that the party would strategise after examining the ruling.

Alhaji Hakeem Amode, the PDP’s Publicity Secretary, Lagos State also said in a statement that the party would know the next step after collecting the Certified True Copy of the judgment.

Amode said: “We urge our dedicated supporters to stay calm and abstain from any activities that may disrupt the harmony and order of our society.

“As a party, we are committed to undertaking a meticulous review of the judgmnt upon receipt of the Certified True Copy, and subsequently, we will issue precise directives to our legal team.

“The tenets of democracy are at the core of our party’s values, and we remain dedicated to fostering an inclusive society that serves the interests of all its citizens.

“We firmly believe that the appropriate avenue for addressing our concerns is through the legal process.”

According to him, the party remains unwavering in it’s resolve to pursue the case until it reaches a just and lawful resolution.

“Our party is steadfast in its dedication to serving the populace to the fullest extent should the opportunity arise,” Amode said.

Chief Olabode George, a former PDP Deputy National Chairman and the party’s Lagos Governorship Candidate, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor)  on Monday united ahead of the general elections.

There has been a cold war between George, the PDP leader in the state and Adediran over some unresolved issues between the duo shortly after the PDP primary.

In a statement by Mr Gbenga Ogunleye, the Head, Media and Communications, JANDOR4GOVERNOR Campaign Organisation, George and the candidate met on Monday to resolve differences ahead of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly Elections.

He quoted George as saying that there was no disagreement of any sort in the party again.

According to him, George  described himself as an irredentist member of the party.

He quoted George as saying that “personal differences would not affect his insistent on the rescue mission of the state from the grip of the marauders.

“The mis-governance and mismanagement of the resources of Lagos by the ruling APC over the years will be over in a matter of days as Lagosians will vote en-mass for Jandor.”

Ogunleye said that George enjoined all party members to unite and work hard to ensure the party wins in their respective local government areas.

Also, Adediran was quoted as expressing gratitude to George for his magnanimity and fatherly oversight.

He commended the elder statesman for his untiring efforts over the years to deliver Lagos state from the clueless and inept successive governors.

Adediran said that with the resolve of the leadership to close ranks, the coast was now clear and the chances of the PDP in the general elections was much brighter.

He assured residents that the pains and hardship being experience would be forgotten immediately the PDP forms the government at the state and the federal level.

The Lagos State PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate, Ms Funke Akindele says residents will experience visible turnaround in 100 days of the party’s Governorship Candidate, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), if elected.

Akindele gave this assurance while meeting with the PDP’s Market Coordinators across the 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs).

She also gave assistance to traders allegedly treated unfairly for supporting the main opposition party during campaign.

“We are out to rescue Lagos. We appreciate your perseverance in standing firm after being intimidated and oppressed for supporting us. By the Grcae of God, our sufferings will end after the poll.

“By the power of God, within the first 100 days of Jandor, we shall begin to see positive changes and turnaround in Lagos State. We are working hard to change the story of hardship in Lagos State.

“I congratulate you, it is not easy to be bold and face difficulties that you are going through. You are brave and courageous to have done this and stood for us. Don’t be tired.

“Fear limits people and hinders them from where they are supposed to get to. So, don’t feel bad, don’t be afraid, don’t give up, be stronger, bolder and fight to the end, because it is possible to get tired at this last minute,” she said.

Akindele said that residents had every right to support the party of their choice without being intimidated in a democracy.

According to her, Adediran is compassionate and has listening ears, and he is concerned about the plights of the people.

“We are here to share the little we have with you for the losses you suffered and it is not going to be one off.

“There is light at the end of the tunnel, Jandor will be the governor of Lagos State and there will be a positive change in Lagos,” she added.

She urged the traders to move into every corner and street to mobilise voters, saying the electorate should make the right choices during the election.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Idowu Adeniyi popularly known as Iyalaya, commended the candidates for the support given the traders.

Another beneficiary, Mr Sulaimon Sakariya applauded the candidates for not abandoning the PDP faithful to their plights.

PDP sends SOS to Buhari over incessant attacks in Lagos

The campaign train of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Governorship Candidate in Lagos State, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), was again attacked by political thugs on Wednesday in Kosofe area of the state.

The latest attack was coming after Tuesday’s attack on his campaign team in the same council by hoodlums.

Adediran, while addressing the Council of Chief Imams at Ketu Central Mosque in Kosofe Local Government, said the attacks would not deter him from rescuing the state from the ruling party.

While Adediran’s campaign train was attacked by political thugs around Ikosi- Isheri area of the local government on Tuesday, the team also came under attack at Oworo Road, Oworosonki area on Wednesday.

The hoodlums, who hauled stones, bottles and other dangerous objects at the campaign train and blocked the Oworo Road, insisted that the campaign team would not be allowed to access the road.

The situation would have degenerated into chaos if not for the candidate’s directive that the hoodlums should not be attacked by his security team.

After being held hostage for about 45 minutes, the security personnel were able to chase the attackers away.

Similar attacks had happened in Badagry, Agege and Ikorodu areas since Adediran kicked off his tour of the 245 wards in the state on Oct. 19, 2022 in which some of his supporters and journalists were wounded.

It would be recalled that Adediran’s running mate, Funke Akindele, was also chased out of Kosofe fruit market on Tuesday.

Speaking on the development, Mr Hakeem Amode, the Lagos State PDP Publicity Secretary, told newsmen after Wednesday’s attack that such trend was not healthy for democracy in the country.

Amode called on President Muhammadu Buhari and the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, to investigate all attacks on the party’s campaign train in various parts of the state.

According to him, both the Nigerian Constitution and Electoral Act allow campaigns by all registered political parties without harassment by political thugs.

“It is unbelievable at this stage, that these are happening in a state that pride itself as Centre of Excellency. It is sad that we cannot campaign freely.

“Electoral Law allows us to campaign anywhere in Lagos State but it is unfortunate that political thugs could attempt to stop us.

“On Tuesday, we were attacked in several wards in Kosofe and we were even prevented from entering markets to campaign.

“We are more disturbed to hear that some of our loyalists, who came to welcome us, were prevented from entering the markets to continue their businesses,” Amode said.

According to him, the trend has been happening for a very long time, saying, “this is probably the fourth or fifth local government this will be happening.”

“I am using this opportunity to call on President Muhammadu Buhari, who has promised Nigerians a free, fair and credible election, to consider the process leading to the election in Lagos State.

“It is not only the election day that matters, the processes that lead to elections are equally important for the credibility of the election.

“I am also calling on the Inspector-General of the Police, the Commissioner of Police in the state and all Area Commanders of Police, and the Director of the DSS in Lagos State should be aware of this. We cannot continue to live in fear.

“All these happenings are capable of intimidating the general public, especially the voters. This cannot continue,” he said.

He urged the police and other security agencies to see to the protection of lives and property of those campaigning ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Amode said that the party and its candidate would not be intimidated, but would continue its peaceful campaign in the state.

“We will stand up to the attackers everywhere they are and we will do everything possible under the law to go ahead with the campaign,” he said.

Adediran in his grassroots engagements, has toured Alimosho, Ojo, Ibeju-Lekki, Mushin, Kosofe council areas among others.

  • 2023: Lagos PDP gov candidate, leaders in closed-door meeting

2023: Lagos PDP gov candidate, leaders in closed-door meeting

The Lagos State PDP governorship candidate, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran, on Saturday held a closed-door strategic meeting with party leaders and elders to map out strategies for victory in the 2023 general elections.

Adediran, popularly known as ‘Jandor’ in company with his running mate, Funke Akindele, met with the party’s chieftains in Ikeja to update them on his campaign ward tours in the state.

Speaking during the opening session before going into closed-door, the candidate, who described the meeting as parents-children interaction, apologised to the leaders for delaying such meeting, saying it was long overdue

According to him, it is not rudeness or disrespect to them that the meeting is just holding.

“In our own thinking as your children, we thought we should be the first to carry the load by going to various wards to engage stakeholders before holding this meeting.

“I want to thank you for conceding the party tickets to us but we know you did this because of the faith you have in this state, and believe that next election should be the time of PDP.

“It is not strange that there are reactions in the party on certain issues but how can we stabilise the party for the purpose of where we are going? I believe this is what you put ahead of all misgivings, hence your presence here.

“What we consider key after the primary is to reach out to the electorate who would vote. When we have them in huge number, what the party would do will be small. That is where we see huge job, hence our concentration on grassroots engagements,” he said

Adediran, who called for understanding and cooperation of party chieftains, said that party’s electoral victory should be more paramount to leaders above all schisms.

Expressing strong belief that the APC reign in Lagos state would not be forever, Adediran said that the PDP victory in the state is imminent and would be witnessed and celebrated by leaders, who had suffered and persevered over years for the party.

“This forthcoming year is the time for us to win to end all the reproaches and names’ calling over your comtinued stay in the party.

“I want to beg you to be more concern about enthronement of PDP. This prize we are looking at is yours.

“I want to appeal to you, if we have one or two persons in the party, either in our community or group, as elders, let us go to them and appease to them.

“Also, as elders if anyone offends us, let us call them and beg them and tell them that what is ahead requires our collective collaboration for us to see the gains,” he said.

Adediran said that both him and her deputy were very young and could not be perfect or wiser than the elders.

He called for forgiveness from party leaders anywhere he had offended them by not reaching out enough.

Adediran, who noted that there was no party without its internal rancor after primary, urged party leaders to forget the past, face elections and see how to mobilise votes.

He said that if offences protracted, elections would come and meet the party unawares.

Adediran, who explained that his campaign team had toured 119 of the 245 wards in the state meeting all stakeholders, said Akindele had been visited several markets to solicit votes for the party.

“We believe at the end of the day, these are people that can give us the votes we need. We have been doing all these. I have come to report to you that this is how far we have gone.

“We want all of us to be together. We must all have understanding. Everyone has a stake in this project and must be carried along. All we are hearing and seeing in our tours has shown that PDP is ready to win,” he said.

Clearing issues on his choice of Akindele as deputy, Adediran said that it was not premeditated or influenced by anyone but based on God’s direction and leading.

Earlier, Akindele, who commended party leaders for accepting and supporting her, said that she would not give up despite all noises and backclashes.

“I joined the party few months ago as a nobody but my fathers and mothers here in the party, have turned me to somebody.

“A want to say a very big thank for for your words of advice. I will never give up because you are behind me. Our eyes are on the prize. We will do as the party wants,” she said.

She prayed God to keep all the party leaders hail and hearty to witness the party’s electoral victory and swearing in ceremony in the state.

Party stalwarts at the closed door meeting include Chief Alani Ajose, Chief Najeem Fakunnoju, Chief Onita Coker, Chief Ajike Matilda and Chief Ola Apena, Chief Ahmed Aleshiloye and Capt. Tunji Shelle, among others.

  • 2023: Lagos PDP guber candidate promises to review ‘forced evictions’

2023: Lagos PDP guber candidate promises to review ‘forced evictions’

The Lagos PDP Governorship Candidate, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), on Sunday said his administration would review all forced evictions in the state, if elected in 2023 general elections.

Adediran said this at an interactive meeting with various stakeholders, PDP leaders and members in Wards J and K in Eti-Osa Local Government Area during his campaign tour of the council.

Adediran, who was joined in the campaign by the party’s House of Representatives Candidate for Eti-Osa constituency, Mr Bankole Wellington (popularly called Bank W), pledged to prioritise the masses’ interest in policies and programmes.

Adediran promised that his administration would review demolition of landed property across Lagos by previous administrations, if elected.

He alleged that several forced evictions across Lagos did not culminate into development capable of benefiting the people.

“I am going to protect this community as governor. I have said that all the land that have been collected illegally, in the name of personal use in the state, would be collected back and given to owners.

“I would take the land back and give them back to the people when I become governor. It is either we want to continue with them or we want things to change.

“If elected, I would take back those lands. I would build general hospitals and other infrastructure you need.

“Our administration would have the fear of God, and our policies would be people-friendly,” Adediran said.

He urged the people to work to deliver the party’s candidates in the 2023 polls.

“We should deliver our state for PDP. The victory of PDP in this election is for all of us and our collective good. That is why we must put in every effort to make sure our party wins.

“God has seen your suffering and contribution over the years. 2023 is where He wants to compensate you,” the candidate said.

Adediran promised to set up an empowerment scheme for women and youths in the state to fight unemployment and poverty.

He promised to ensure free and compulsory education with free school uniforms.

“All tailors in Lagos state, this will be your government. It is the local tailors that will do it in their constituency; so that we can put money in your pockets.

“We would serve Lagos with fear of God. The only reason why I am in Lagos governorship race is because of people’s welfare,” he said.

Similarly, in another interactive meeting with non-Yoruba speaking indigenes in Ajah, Adediran noted that his administration would serve all residents of the state, irrespective of tribe.

He pledged to end the excesses of members of the various transport unions in the state.

Speaking at Ward K2 in the same local government, Adediran told party leaders and members that his tour of the 245 wards in the state was to feel the pulse and have a foreknowledge of the challenges of various people at the grassroots.

Also, Wellington advised the people to vote massively for PDP candidates.

The PDP’s House of Assembly candidate in the constituency, Mr Akeem Jinadu, said the constituents were overwhelmed by the humility of Adediran, and promised the candidate of their total support at the polls.

Party leaders in the council took turns, complained about lack of basic infrastructure like general hospital, burial ground and others.

Adediran and his running mate, Ms Funke Akindele, who began their ward tour on Oct.19, have met with several stakeholders and toured markets to seek traders’ support on their ambition.

The campaign train has so far visited all wards in Alimosho, Badagry, Ojo, Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos Mainland, Epe and Ibeju Lekki Local Government Areas.
