    Benito Bello, the son of Nigerian movie producer and veteran singer Abdulrasheed Bello, aka JJC Skillz, who turned 18 today, January 28, 2022, has received a heartfelt letter from his mother, Mella, to commemorate his birthday.

    The doting mother shared photos of her son on Instagram.

    She captioned the photos: “Wow 18 years old today! You made it kiddo! Perhaps with a few bumps and bruises but that has turned you into the most kindest and caring soul I know.

    “I’m so proud of you and thankful for all the joy you’ve given us as a child and I can’t wait to watch you grow as a young man! I love you baby boy and remember to not only listen to the prince but also to the shepherd! Happy birthday Benito, love you always, mummy”

    In a long-running argument, Mella asserted that Funke Akindele’s ex-husband was a seasoned drug user who regularly smoked marijuana in front of his kids.

    The assertion was also supported by Instagram blogger, Cutie Julls, who wrote that JJC Skillz’s biological mother had voiced concern about his smoking habits in front of his kids.

    Moreover, it was claimed that JJC Skillz had a negative influence on his son Benito. Benito was once a good kid, but things changed when he saw his father smoke marijuana in front of him.

    While some social media users criticized JJC Skillz for being a terrible father, others argued that both of his parents were negligent and failed their son.

    Funke said their vision and dreams of how the marriage should work stopped aligning and efforts to work toward restoring the relationship failed.

    The actress-turned-politician, who recently premiered her latest film “Battle on Buka Street” spoke in an interview, where she narrated why her second marriage ended.

    “Well, the truth is our dreams and vision of what our marriage should be just no longer aligned. And efforts to make it work all fell on deaf ears, so why hang around,” Funke asserted.

    TheNewsGuru.com recalls, that JJC Skillz, whose real name is Abdulrasheed Bello, announced his separation from Funke in an Instagram post on Thursday, June 30.

    JJC Skillz disclosed that the last two years had been difficult for them and he tried his best to make things work. He added that Funke asked him to leave their matrimonial home three months prior to the post.

    The 45-year-old noted that he was making the announcement to clear the air and make it known to the public that they have decided to go their separate ways.

    He wrote: “Dear Friends and family I need to let you know that Funke and I have separated. While it lasted we shared a lot of things together and have created 2 beautiful children. The last two years have been extremely difficult for us. I know I have tried my best to fix things but I believe it is beyond repair now.”

    JJC Skillz earned recognition in Nigeria after the release of his single We Are Africans, an afrobeat anthem. Prior to the success of “We are Africans”, JJC Skillz was a producer for the British hip-hop record company and musical group Big Brovaz.

    Despite claim by Abdulrasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz, that his marriage with Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, is still intact, the duo on Friday night arrived at Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) in separate cars.

     

    There have been speculations that the marriage of Funke and her producer husband, JJC Skillz, is on the brink of collapse, and the couple’s recent action seems to confirm the rumour.

     

    The power couple attended the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) gala night on May 13. Although they were seen together but the usual romantic bliss seen by fans of the duo was lacking.

    The celebrity couple, who got married in 2016 and welcomed a set of twins in 2018, have neither confirmed nor denied the reports.

     

    Speculations have been making rounds that the celebrity couple whose union have been blessed with twins were having troubles in their marriage.

     

    The claims on Funke Akindele’s marriage gained more attention after Benito, Akindele’s stepson, while reacting to a TikTok post, disclosed that the time he spent with her was horrible.

     

    He said, “She’s not what you all think she is, I lived with her for two years, it was horror.”

     

    Meanwhile, JJC Skillz debunked the rumour in an Instagram post.

     

    He confirmed his love for his wife, saying he misses home and enjoined her not to allow anyone to spoil her vibes adding that the “Devil is a liar”.

     

    He wrote “The only rock I know that stays steady and the only institution I know that works is the family. London is cool but I’m missing home @funkejenifaakindele, my love.”

    Akindele also reacted to his post saying: “Darling, thank you. We miss you too.”

     

    JJC Skillz is a Nigerian songwriter, rap artiste, and television producer.

     

    The couple got married in 2016 and their marriage produced twins in 2018.
