Ligue 1: Achraf Hakimi sees red, Galtier fumes as Lorient stun PSG

Lorient shocked Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) with a 3-1 victory at the Parc des Princes after the Ligue 1 leaders were reduced to 10 men.

PSG were reduced when Achraf Hakimi was sent off early in the first half and they have now lost nine games in all competitions in this year.

They remain on 75 points from 33 games and they could see their Ligue 1 lead cut to five points if Olympique Marseille beat Auxerre later on Sunday.

    Lorient moved up to 10th.

Lorient took the lead in the 15th minute with some neat interplay on the right flank which stretched the PSG defence.

This allowed Romain Faivre to put the ball into the box where an unmarked Enzo Le Fee fired home.

PSG were down a man five minutes later when Hakimi received his second yellow card after a late challenge on Darline Yongwa.

Kylian Mbappe then equalised in bizarre circumstances following an error from goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo.

The Swiss goalkeeper recovered the ball and attempted to restart play by rolling it forward.

But Mbappe —- who was walking back right beside him —- took the ball and pushed into an empty net.

With the one man advantage, Lorient took the game to PSG with Le Fee and Faivre pulling the strings.

The second goal came when Faivre danced into the box and his deflected cross from the byline fell to Yongwa, who made it 2-1.

Amid jeers from the home fans, PSG huffed and puffed in search of an equaliser.

Sergio Ramos headed over from a Lionel Messi corner-kick, while Mvogo also saved a Danilo Pereira header with his face.

Bamba Dieng had a late goal ruled out for offside but he scored Lorient’s third a minute later to seal all three points.

That was when he went one-on-one with goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, who saved the first effort before Dieng bundled it home.

PSG’s Galtier slams “very stupid” Hakimi red card in loss to Lorient

Achraf Hakimi’s red card in the loss to Lorient by Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) was “very stupid”, club coach Christophe Galtier said, asking his side to be more ambitious.

The Ligue 1 champions slipped to a 3-1 defeat after they lost the defender inside the first 20 minutes to a second yellow card offence.

The loss leaves PSG still with an eight-point cushion at the summit, although it would be slashed to five if rivals Marseille were to win against Auxerre later on Sunday.

Reflecting on Hakimi’s red card, which came after poor challenges on Romain Faivre and Darlin Yongwa, Galtier professed his frustration with both the player and his side’s wider performance.

“[There is] no reason for Achraf to be tense and nervous,” he said. “The second card is very stupid. [There was] no sign this week that he would be tense.

“It’s a big disappointment, and we have to react quickly because we don’t know how many points we’re going to have. Our second half of the season [has been] very, very average.

“There needs to be a collective but also an individual awareness. Too many players are looking inward. We have to look ahead.

“The Troyes match is coming up. We’ve been first since the start of the championship, but we have to finish with victories. We have the ambition to do more.”

  • I stand with Achraf Hakimi Mouh – By Francis Ewherido

I stand with Achraf Hakimi Mouh – By Francis Ewherido

PSG player and Moroccan International, Achraf Hakimi Mouh and his Tunisian-Libyan-Spanish wife, Hiba Aboukare are on the verge of a divorce.  Hakimi has been in the news for a while now because of his separation and pending divorce from Hiba, and the rape allegation against him. Two Fridays ago, the news broke that much Hakimi’s $17m net worth is in his mother’s name. Meanwhile, Hiba wants at least $8.5m (50per cent of Hakimi’s networth) in divorce settlement. Hiba only got to know after filing for divorce that she will not get that much. I even read that with a networth of $2m, Hiba is officially richer than Hakimi and would be the one to pay him divorce settlement. Anyway, I doubt if Hakimi would be interested in her money.

Opinions have been divided since the new development became public knowledge. Some people are taking side with him and his mother, Saida Mouh, while others are taking side with Hiba. I too have a very strong opinion on this matter. That is why I am writing on it today. Moreover, there are some lessons to be learnt by married people and those intending to go into marriage.

She is asking for divorce on grounds of adultery in a country where only about 47 per cent of the people find adultery “unacceptable.” No problem, it is a personal decision. Beyond promiscuity, Hakimi is alleged to have raped a lady.  It is a grievous allegation, but the police are still investigating. Yet Hiba is already filing for divorce. She has also promised to offer support to the alleged rape victim against Hakimi when the police have not formally brought charges against Hakimi. Yet she wants $8.5m of Hakimi’s money to add to her current networth of about $2m to help her support the alleged rape victim! Meanwhile, Hakimi’s mother has jumped to his defense that that the rape allegation is false. You decide who is showing love between mother and wife.

On what grounds is Hiba asking for this money? Is it because she was married to him for three years or the two boys they had together? Or is it because of breaking his marital vow of fidelity? When former President Bill Clinton was caught pants down with Monica Lewinsky, Hilary Clinton, his wife, stood by him. She did not ask for divorce though she had grounds to do so. She stood by him through and through. For me, that is love and maturity. Hilary is the real deal.

When Cheryl Ann Tweedy, a famous singer in England, got tired of the former Arsenal left back, Ashley Coles’ infidelity, she divorced Cole. Unlike Hiba, Cheryl did not take any money from Cole. In fact, she let him keep their $8 million mansion. It was clear that her problem with Cole was his infidelity. She was sincere and transparent. If Hiba must go, why not do what Cheryl did? Just walk away to have your peace of mind. She can also ask for child support, which Hakimi is morally obliged to provide and it is allowed in the French legal system on divorce, but half of his wealth after only three years of marriage is pure greed.

I encourage married people to keep their marital vows, but not everyone does. When your spouse cheats in marriage, you have two legal options. You either forgive him/her and continue with the marriage, or you divorce your spouse. But if you want a divorce, be honourable about it and to behave like Cheryl, Ashley Cole’s wife. If not, you risk being seen as a gold digger. That is the problem people have with Hiba. She wants a bountiful harvest where she did not sow or sowed sparingly.

The primary reason for marriage is companionship. Where is the companionship when Hiba has filed for divorce after three years of marriage? And she wants $8.5m. If money was so easy to get, why is she worth only $2m after many years of acting? Money is tough to accumulate, yet she wants to rob someone of his hard earned money? Does she realise what footballers go through to get to Hakimi’s level? Islam encourages Muslims to uphold the values of JUSTICE and KINDNESS in divorce, and Hakimi and Hiba are “practicing Muslims,” but I cannot see these values in Hiba’s action.

Supporters of Hiba should realise that when you are 34 and go ahead and marry a 22 year-old-man, you have to deal with a lot of immaturity. Women mature way faster than men, not to talk of when there is a 12 years difference in age. Leaning on his supportive mother and his family for emotional support and answers to some life’s mysteries is inevitable. It is your choice on who to get married to, but life’s choices come with concomitant implications. Hiba should go and take tutorials from spouses who married considerably younger men/women.

I do not understand why people are dragging Hakim’s mother. Hakim’s wife never said her mother-in-law interfered in the marriage. For your information, Hakimi joined Real Madrid youth academy when he was just eight years old. He quickly rose through the ranks and made his professional debut for Real Madrid in October 2017 in a Copa del Rey match against Fuenlabrada. At this time, Hiba was not in the picture. His mother and family guided him. It was probably at this time his mother started managing his resources. He knows best why he maintained the status quo after marriage, but Hiba’s action has proven that Hakimi was right in keeping the bulk of his assets from her grips. You expose your assets to loving and loyal spouses, not greedy gold diggers.

Hakimi’s mother should be left alone. She is a wonderful African women. She was just being faithful to her son. Hakimi never complained that his mother mismanaged his money, so why the noise? In relationships between daughter-in-law and mother-in-law, as long as the man is mature and none of the women is greedy, they can live harmoniously. It is greed and immaturity that bring issues between mothers-in-law and their daughters-in-law. So if you want to invent conflict between Hakimi’s wife and mother, blame the wife for her greed. In marriage, trust is earned not given. If you are committed to a relationship and go ahead to marry your fiancé/fiancée, trust is built gradually by positive actions. But if you become greedy, erratic or unpredictable, the trust diminishes.

May be, supporters of Hiba wanted another case of Emmanuel Eboue replayed. Emmanuel Eboue, a former Ivory Coast International, spent eight years in Arsenal. He made some good money, but lost a substantial part of his money and assets in England to his Belgian wife, Aurélie, in a divorce case. His saving grace were his assets and money in Africa (mainly Ghana and Ivory Coast) which the wife could not get her hands on.

As I was rounding up this article, Hakimi mother’s response came in: “If he (Hakimi) has taken any action to protect himself, I’m unaware of it. What’s the problem if the news is true? If my son does not do this, he will not be able to get rid of that woman [Hiba Abouk].”

Achraf Hakimi Mouh’s infidelity and the mother’s response notwithstanding, I still stand with him. If you do not know what marriage is all about, stand aside. Marriage is not an institution for gold diggers. If you want to dig gold go to Zamfara State, Ghana or South Africa.

NB: We shall talk about nuclear family and extended family relationship next week. Some women complained about the extended family (Hakimi’s mother specifically) in their reactions to the story.

Achraf Hakimi’s ex-wife, Hiba Abouk finally breaks silence

Hiba Abouk, the ex- wife of PSG Star, Achraf Hakimi has sent a defiant message after learning about the Paris Saint-Germain defender’s fortune.

Recall that Abouk, who is an actress, filed for divorce against the Moroccan international and claimed half of his properties, citing infidelity as the major cause.

However, Abouk found out that Hakimi’s properties are not in his name, and his net worth is almost insignificant.

Rather, all Hakimi’s assets are in his mother’s name, meaning the footballer doesn’t have to pay Abouk anything.

“I have zero attachment to material things,” Abouk tells Elle Magazine.

“I left home with one hand in front and the other behind, without the support of my family. But I had to do it because my environment wasn’t going to allow me to grow or be free.

“It was either my life or theirs, and I decided to fight for myself.

“When you separate, you restructure your life, but it is also nothing special: you have to remove iron from the matter.

“In life, there are many good moments and also other bad ones. You marry for love, and you divorce for lack of love.”

Abouk and Hakimi have two children, Amín, 3, and Naim, 1, together.

They married in 2020, two years after meeting in 2018.

Achraf Hakimi’s mother finally speaks on son transferring his asset to her

Morocco and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) star, Achraf Hakimi’s mother, Saida Mouh, has finally spoken about her son transferring all his asset  to her

Recall that last week the news of Hakimi transfering 80% of his wealth to his mother, went viral on social media.

It all started when Hakimi’s wife, Hiba Abouk, filed for a divorce and seeking to get 50% of the player’s asset but was told in court that his asset and wealth are registered under the player’s mother’s name.

However, while reacting to the news for the first time , Mrs Saida Mouh suggested that there was nothing wrong even if the news of her son transferring all his properties to her was true.

According to her, 24-year-old Hakimi wouldn’t be able to get rid of his 36-year-old wife if he didn’t take drastic steps.

“If he has taken any action to protect himself, I’m unaware of it,” Morocco World News quoted Hakimi’s mother as saying.

“What’s the problem if the news is true? If my son does not do this, he will not be able to get rid of that woman [Hiba Abouk].”

Popular OAP, Nedu Wazobia tenders apology over marriage comment on women

Comedian, On-air personality and broadcast journalist, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu Wazobia has apologized for his comment on marriage following the divorce saga between Moroccan footballer, Achraf Hakim and his Wife.

In a video that went viral, Nedu was seen saying that women now see marriage as a poverty alleviation scheme, insisting that love in marriage is dead and buried.

Hos words: “I don’t know if you people have seen that video or the pictures or the message of that PSG footballer called Hakimi who claimed to be 24 years old and his wife is asking for a divorce. And demand 50 percentPopular OAP of his property.

“You see that marriage is dead? In fact, if people believed anything in marriage before, with what’s happening in marriage in the whole world, people wouldn’t want to get married anymore. Most women, many of you, make some people not be interested in marriage because you have turned the thing into a poverty alleviation scheme.”

Following the heavy criticism received on social media over his comments, Nedu, in a series of posts on his Instagram story on Sunday, made a U-turn and tendered a public apology to everyone affected.

PSG Star, Achraf Hakimi’s net worth revealed

Achraf Hakimi the Paris Saint-Germain full-back presently in the eye of the storm has a reported net worth of $24million and 80 percent of which is controlled by his mother, Mrs Fatima.

Recall that his estranged wife, Hiba Abouk has filed for divorce over infidelity and is asking for 50% of Hakimi’s wealth.

The Morocco international player is twelve years younger than Abouk, whose $2million net worth pales in comparison with what the Morocco international has amassed.

Their short marriage could have ended with Hakimi giving up $8.5 million, but the former Real Madrid star managed to hide the fact that nothing is in his name.

Hakimi’s estranged wife never realized that the player’s mother was the one making all the purchases, including cars, clothes and jewellery.

Hakimi earns about $1million per month at PSG, where he shares the dressing room with the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, but only keeps about 20 percent.

The rest of his paycheck, around $215,000 per week salary, goes straight into his mother’s bank account.

Hakimi is the sixth highest-paid player in Africa and has become extremely popular ever since leading his country Morocco to the semi-final of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The case has been adjourned to a later date.

Hakimi stunner sends Morocco through to AFCON quarter-finals

Morocco booked their place in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) quarter-finals on Tuesday as Achraf Hakimi’s stunning free-kick sealed a 2-1 win over Malawi in Yaounde, Cameroon.

The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) full-back struck 20 minutes from time at Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo after Youssef En-Nesyri cancelled out Gabadinho Mhango’s magnificent early effort.

After scraping through Group B in third-place, Malawi were making their first appearance in the AFCON knockout stages.

The Flames took a surprise lead in the seventh minute, Mhango catching Yassine Bounou off his line with a wonderful 40-yard lob.

Morocco had only lost one of their previous 11 games when facing an opponent in the competition for the first time.

Vahid Halilhodzic’s side equalised in first-half stoppage time as En-Nesyri headed home from Selim Amallah’s deep cross.

The contest looked possibly set for extra time until Hakimi emphatically beat Charles Thomu from 30 yards to send his nation through to the last eight.

In the quarter-finals, Morocco will face either Côte d’Ivoire or Egypt.
