  • Instagram deletes Adamu Garba’s account

Instagram has taken down the account of Adamu Garba, a former presidential aspirant.

The chief executive officer of (CEO) of IPI Group broke the news on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

“They’ve taken down my Instagram too. This could happen to anyone for voicing out contrary opinions. More reasons why we should work excellently on Crowwe,” he wrote.

An investigation by TheNewsGuru revealed his account has indeed been removed from the platform.

Search for his handle, @adamugarbaii, only displayed a blank page with a succinct post which read “user not found.”

The occurence however, comes amid the condemnations trailing his support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s suspension of Twitter’s operations in Nigeria.

It also comes days after Google deleted Crowwe, his instant messaging and financial transaction app, from its Playstore.

Garba had earlier accused Twitter of being “an anti-Nigerian force,” adding that the platform has been pushing for the country’s destruction in the last two years.

“Yes, I’m happy. Seriously. It is clearly showing that actions cannot just happen without consequences,” he had said.

“Twitter, if you studied their move for the last two years, they have been more of an anti-Nigerian force, for the destruction of Nigeria than actually a platform that’s supposed to advocate for freedom of expression of Nigeria

Google deletes Nigerian social media app from Play Store

Internet giants, Google has deleted from its Play Store Nigerian social media app known as Crowwe.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the Crowwe social media app, which imitates Twitter, is owned by Nigeria’s Adamu Garba.

The app had received horrible reviews from Nigerians after Garba supported the suspension of Twitter use in Nigeria.

Garba had, following the suspension, encouraged Nigerians to support his indigenous social media app by downloading it from the Play Store.

Not only did the app receive horrible reviews, Nigerians also reported that Crowwe’s terms and conditions were plagiarised word for word from another app, Spotify.

The discovery was also verified by Dubawa, a fact-checking platform, to be true.

“Check the Crowwe app’s terms and conditions. It’s the SAME thing as Spotify. They didn’t even bother editing. Like if you click on the hyperlink it redirects you to Spotify theft. What sort of pangolo app is that?” a Twitter user wrote, tagging Spotify.

Right now, Garba’s Crowwe app, which has been described as an instant messaging and financial transaction app that comes with a digital wallet that helps to transfer and receive money while chatting, is no longer available on the Google Play Store.

Google removes from the Play Store applications that are perceived to have violated its policy.

“Once your app is removed, the published version of your app won’t be available on Google Play until a compliant update is submitted.

“Until a policy violation has been fixed, don’t republish a removed app,” Google Play Store policy reads.

Cattle valuable than entire oil and gas reserve in Nigeria – Former Presidential Aspirant

Former Presidential Aspirant, Adamu Garba has said cattle have more economic value than the entire oil and gas reserve in Nigeria.

Garba said this in reaction to the advice given by the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria, Bauchi State chapter, which required its members to vacate the 17 states in Southern Nigeria.

MACBAN gave the advice following a ban on open grazing issued by governors of the region after a meeting in Asaba, Delta State.

Reacting, Garba said on Twitter, “I perfectly agree with this proposal. All Fulani present in Southern Nigeria should come back. We shall use the cattle, process the resources, and sell all over the world as finished goods.

“Cattle have more economic value than the entire oil and gas reserve we have in Nigeria. Our major stakeholders in the North must admit cows as business opportunities not just culture & invest heavily to bring #CowToCurrency to reality. Cows alone can solve all Northern problems.

“The job opportunities, the manufacturing centres, & the connection to global hubs of demands for the best cattle meats can open more doors and set for the liberation of Northern Nigeria from cheap and somewhat, useless oil assets. We must invest in harvesting the value of cattle.

“A litter of Cow at N350 is much more than the value of a liter of oil at N145. With over 20 million cows, take 1/3 as milk-producing female on average of 5 liters a day, we’ll have almost N12Bn/day from cow milk. That’s about N700M/state/day. About N21Bn/State/Month.

“That is much higher than the Monthly Allocation the largest state receives in the North. Again, each cow can generate a minimum of 3 Jobs. Rearing, Slughtring, Processing, marketing, Selling, and management. 5M cows =15M jobs.

“I marveled at the laziness of Northern Governors. Northern Governors think awarding contracts for building roads, taking their cuts is all they need for themselves. Doing so has subjected the North to condescension and dehumanization from some elements in the South. The time is now for them to wake up to our potentials.

“It is becoming increasingly clear that the 2023 election is a game between cattle states & non-cattle states. Let’s be blunt about this. If Northern leaders do not wake up to this urgent reality, the target will not just be the cow, but the cow harboring states & their adherents”.

IT expert Adamu Garba threatens to sue Twitter CEO Dorsey over #EndSARS

Chief executive officer of IT firm IPI Group Adamu Garba has condemned Twitter chief executive Jack Dorsey for lending his voice to the #EndSARS campaign in Nigeria.

Mr Dorsey had urged the public in a tweet on Wednesday night to make donations via Bitcoin in support of the cause which has seen many Nigerians take to the streets in protest.

However, Mr Garba, a former presidential aspirant, in a Twitter thread said Dorsey should not participate in stoking turmoil in Nigeria, warning the Twitter executive to stay away from Nigerian politics.

He wrote: “Dear @jack, It’ll do you a lot more good if you stay away from Nigerian Politics. You should know that the so-called #EndSARS protest have transformed into political agitation, capable of breaking law & order in our country. You should not be a moral & financial sponsor to this.

“This is Nigeria, most of the demands initially presented was attended to by the responsible authorities. SARS no longer exist in this country.

“Your support for a disbanded entity was a needless interference. We cannot allow killings again in Nigeria in the name of protests.

“I understand that this may play well to your business, you have more content, more people & more activity on your platform, but to us is about life, peace & security of our dear Country, we cannot allow you to be part of the people sponsoring disorder. We need peace & prosperity.

“I can see you are even sharing a link for people to donate money for this protest, an event capable of escalation beyond our already overstretched security management.

“If this protest continued to evolved into disorder (hopefully not). As a Nigerian citizen, we’ll meet in court.”

As expected, the #EndSARS protesters have condemned Adamu over his comments.
