    Adesua Etomi hails Banky W’s open letter to ‘Stalker’

    Social media was awash with reactions over a video featuring two ladies following Banky W‘s car a week ago.In the viral video the ladies had criticized Banky, asking why he was driving “1999” Range Rover.

    However fans of the singer were shocked yesterday when he penned an open letter replying the ladies.

     

    Titled “Dear Stalker,” Banky shared that he’s already planned to auction the car and with the money gotten from the sales, donate to the Vocational School for the Blind in Oshodi and the Pink Oak Cancer Trust Fund.

    Adesua who is satisfied with the open letter, quoting the link to the story wrote on Twitter: “Trust my husband to make lemonade out of Lemons. This isn’t a response to the ignorance. This is a write up of life lessons. Beautifully written baby. ???.”

    Celebrities are not immune to internet trolls. Over the years, these trolls deliberately step on the toes of these entertainers in order to make them angry.

    Beautiful actress and wife of Banky W, Adesua Etomi shared a video of herself dancing at a party in Lagos . She captioned it: “So many reasons to komole. So grateful. Joy is free.”

    An Instagram user who doesn’t understand the reason behind her joy and glow wrote:”See mumu don’t go and get pregnant. Be there dancing like an idiot, I hate you because you are too fake”.

     

    Many fans expected Adesua to bash and condemn the fan for writing such a sensitive comment.But Adesua decided to take the path of peace. In her response, she wrote:”Lool. Peace and love”.

  • Adesua Etomi joins eminent personalities to read Chinua Achebe’s #ThingsFallApart

    Svelte Nollywood damsel , Adesua Etomi alongside other eminent personalities will be guests in London on April 15, 2018 for the 60th anniversary live reading of Chinua Achebe’s #ThingsFallApart, holding at the Southbank Centre, London.

     

    Adesua will be reading with Ben Okri and Lucian Msamati and other crew.

     

    The event is organised to celebrate the iconic writer, who fondly called the “father of African literature”, died after a short illness on March 21, 2013 in Boston, USA.

     

    He was laid to rest in his hometown in Ogidi, Anambra State.

    Nigerian Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka has described the work as “the first novel in English which spoke from the interior of the African character, rather than portraying the African as an exotic, as the white man would see him.

    According to Avil Beckford:” Things Fall Apart is a constant on the must-read book lists. Things Fall Apart is a seminal piece of work, and has had staying power because it’s the first time that any author demonstrated how European colonization impacted the natives, and it is written by someone from the country that was colonized. Other authors wrote about this topic, but they came at it from a different perspective”.

  • Marrying Banky W is a great achievement- Adesua Etomi

    Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi-Wellington has said getting married to her musician husband, Banky W is a great achievement.

    The beautiful actress made this known as a guest at the ongoing BBNaija Reality TV Show.

    When one of the housemates asked her about her greatest achievements, she said: “If you don’t have a conviction to do something, then don’t do it. My greatest achievement was when I started acting and also winning AMVCA awards. Marrying the love of my life is a huge achievement for me because not everyone has that story and they are just blessed. The story is that of love, genuine love

     

    “I don’t have it all together; this celebrity thing is a smoke screen. I don’t want to be a local champion, I want to put Nigeria on the map, so I still have so much to do in the movie industry”

    Recall that Banky W and Adesua Etomi tied nuptial knot in Cape Town, South Africa on November 25th 2017.

    Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi Wellington visited the BBNaija house on Thursday amidst excitement and cheers from the housemates.

     

    The award winning actress started by encouraging the housemates to ask questions, thereafter she proceeded to giving them a pep talk on what has helped her navigate the competitive Nigerian entertainment industry.

     

    “In 2016 I won the AMVCA, I was like ‘me’ in this life how did that happen?I have been really blessed. I also remember that the work is really just starting. I have not arrived, I don’t even know what arriving means or where I am supposed to arrive. You just have to stay grounded” she said.

  • Why I got married to Adesua -Banky W

    Just when everyone thought Banky W and Adesua will stay off the limelight after their funfair wedding , the couple are once again trending on social media following the release of their wedding documentary aptly tagged: ‘The Wellingtons.’

     

    The documentary highlighted tidbits of their wedding ceremony.

    In the documentary Banky W revealed why he chose to marry Adesua.

    He said: “I met Adesua in 2015 and after inquiring about her from her manager, Isioma, i went online to search for her and found her social media handles.

    “I looked her up online and I liked what I saw. I googled her, stalked her on the gram and a day or two later, I slid into her DM like the real man that I am.

    “I had two defining moments with Adesua. One was before we started speaking. It was actually when I was stalking her and I saw a video of her and her childhood friends singing worship songs and I felt like this is really refreshing to find someone in our line of work that would readily show this part of them.

    “The second part when I knew was when we took a private trip somewhere and it was the first time that she danced with me and at this point, I already knew she was a spiritual girl and a praying woman. But if i can confess, I was a little bit worried that when it comes to the turnups and the fun, I wasnt sure if she would be free like that and the very first time she danced with me, they were playing Rihanna’s ”Work” and she danced with me. Ladies and Gentlemen, once you have the spiritual and physical, you close shop, you move.

    ”I wasn’t specifically looking for an entertainer as a wife because of what I presumed, but she took me off the balance.

    “I am glad i married Adesua because she understands my business and the pressure that comes with it”.

    The documentary is titled‘The Wellingtons’, and will be shown on Africa Magic.
