How glass shard from accident got lodged in my head for 19 years – Emeka Rollas

Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) president, Emeka Rollas has testified the goodness of the Lord in his life, after a shard of glass which was stuck in his head for 19 years came out.

The AGN president Rollas during the recent session of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPDD) by cleric Jerry Eze revealed that he was involved in a helicopter accident in 2006, which caused him a head injury.

He said that after his medical treatment following the accident, a piece of glass remained stuck to his head for almost two decades. The filmmaker said he refused to go for surgery on the injury “because I was scared”.

Rollas said recently he started to join the prayer sessions by Eze, asking God to remove everything that is anti-God from his body.

He, however, said the piece of glass dropped off his head on a day he was having dinner with his family.

He said, “I have a piece of glass right inside my scalp here, just on the scalp as a result of an accident, a helicopter accident. After treatment, some pieces of glass were left within the scalp, and over time, it will react and then go back again.

“Sometimes I’ll be advised to go for a minor surgery to get it removed. But because I’ve had about four surgeries on health issues, I usually get scared. But very recently, I began to put it in prayers.

“So each time, Pastor Jerry will say, this communion is for anything that is not of God, that is inside you, should be flushed out.

“I key into that particular statement during the communion. And then, sometime last month, I began to feel a bulge just by that side of my scalp.

“After some days, I started noticing a very sharp opening, like I would feel a piece of glass. I started telling myself, it’s like this glass wants to come out.

“I went to the hospital, the doctor checked it and then told me that she couldn’t see anything like a piece of glass, but she’s just feeling that there’s a boil up there.

“And I told her, no, that I don’t have a boil. I explained to her that I had an accident years ago, and this is how I feel at this moment.

“And then I came home one evening, I was just about to take dinner with one of my kids, and I rubbed my head, and all of a sudden, the piece of glass just fell off and fell on the dining table. And this is here, so tiny glass, but it has been here for 19 good years.

“I want to thank the Lord for this miracle. I want to thank Pastor Jerry, let the oil on your head never run dry.”

We can not continue like this – AGN president reacts to death of Nollywood actors poisoned on movie set

The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, has reacted to the death of two unidentified Nollywood actors who were poisoned on a movie set in Owerri, the state capital.

TheNewsGuru reports that Nollywood actor Stanley OnTop, in a post via his Instagram page on Friday, revealed that four actors were rushed to the Federal University Teaching Hospital Owerri, and two were pronounced dead on arrival.

He said the two deceased persons and other crew members ate rice and drank wine provided by the unnamed movie director after shooting a movie.

Reacting, the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) shared an update on Instagram on Sunday, stating that the actors in question were not members of the Guild. He expressed concern over the increasing number of unlicensed filmmakers in the country.

He also urged all actors and actresses to get ready for the annual prayer gatherings aimed at preventing deaths in the industry.

He wrote: “So sad some actors who are not members of Actors Guild just lost their lives while filming in Owerri. We have repeatedly warned that Actors must join the Guild to practice in Nollywood..

“Barely a week after the memorial service of our member Late JNR Pope, tragedy struck in Owerri involving two promising young actors.

“They are not members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria but this points to two things:

“1. The devil still wants this pattern of mass death repeated on an annual basis. If not for God the death toll in Owerri could have been four persons. Exactly the same number last year in Asaba. Please let all Actors and indeed Nollywood prepare for this year’s prayer outingwith @realjerryeze @streamsofjoyabuja

“2. We cannot continue like this. Everywhere in the country people just wake up and equip themselves with cameras and they have become Nollywood

“This is a bad trend. These people camp themselves in an unhealthy, unverified environment making content. Content creators have to be licensed.”
