    Former Manchester United player, Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed excitement at joining Saudi Arabia Pro League side, Al-Nassr.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Ronaldo signed a sensational £175 million contract with Al-Nassr on Friday following a tumultuous exit from United in November.

    A club statement quoted the Portuguese player to have expressed eagerness to experience a new football league in a different country.

    “The vision in which Al-Nassr Club works is very inspiring, and I am excited to join my teammates to help together,” Ronaldo was quoted to have said.

    Meanwhile, Al-Nassr has said signing Ronaldo will not just inspire the club to achieve greater success but inspire the league, the nation and future generations.

    TNG reports Cristiano Ronaldo will wear jersey number 7 at Al-Nassr.

    The five time Balon d ‘or winner had made some uncomplimentary remarks about the club’s management and its coach Erik Ten Hag.

    However, Some football fans have lent their voices on social media concerning the Portuguese’s decision to head to the Saudi Arabian League.

    After leaving Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a two year contract with Saudi Pro League side, Al-Nassr.

    The Portuguese star is set to earn £175m-a-year after his bitter exit from Manchester United.

    Ronaldo had been a free agent after leaving United in the wake of his damning and controversial interview with Piers Morgan.

    The former Real Madrid starman’s deal is understood to be for seven years.

    He will play for the Saudi Pro League side before taking on an ambassadorial role in Saudi Arabia.

    Part of his role as an ambassador, it was learnt, will be to help Saudi Arabia’s joint bid with Egypt and Greece to host the 2030 World Cup.

    Per CBS Sports, Al-Nassr are hopeful that Ronaldo will accept their mammoth financial package in the coming days.

    They have even scheduled a medical, such is their confidence that Ronaldo will join.

    The Portuguese is said to be unhappy with super agent Jorge Mendes, who has been unable to find him a club in the Champions League.

    Ronaldo left United by mutual contract termination earlier this winter.

    The 37-year-old captain is set to reach an agreement on a two-and-a-half-year contract, the Spanish newspaper Marca reported on Wednesday.

    It said the total cost of the deal is around 200 million euros ($207 million) per season.

    Ronaldo has been without a club since leaving Manchester United last week following a TV interview where he heavily criticized the club.

    Saudi Arabian giants Al Nassr have offered a contract worth £186million over three years to the iconic Portuguese striker, according to a report from CBS Sports.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the monstrous contract is to entice Ronaldo to make the switch to the Middle East, but the player is still evaluating the options available to him in Europe.

    Al-Nassr is one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia, having been crowned winners of the country’s top flight nine times, with their most recent triumph coming in 2019.

    Ronaldo is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward and captains the Portugal national team. He is currently a free agent.

    Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, Ronaldo has won five Ballon d’Or awards[note and four European Golden Shoes, the most by a European player.

    He has won 32 trophies in his career, including seven league titles, five UEFA Champions Leagues, and the UEFA European Championship.

    Ronaldo holds the records for most appearances goals (140), and assists (42) in the Champions League, goals in the European Championship (14), international goals (118), and international appearances by a European (192).

    He is one of the few players to have made over 1,100 professional career appearances, and has scored over 800 official senior career goals for club and country. He is the only male player to score in five World Cup tournaments.

    Ronaldo began his senior career with Sporting CP, before signing with Manchester United in 2003, at age 18, winning the FA Cup in his first season.

    He would also go on to win three consecutive Premier League titles, the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup; at age 23, he won his first Ballon d’Or. Ronaldo was the subject of the then-most expensive association football transfer when he signed for Real Madrid in 2009 in a transfer worth €94 million (£80 million), where he won 15 trophies, including two La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey, and four Champions Leagues, and became the club’s all-time top goalscorer.

    He won back-to-back Ballons d’Or in 2013 and 2014, and again in 2016 and 2017, and was runner-up three times behind Lionel Messi, his perceived career rival. In 2018, he signed for Juventus in a transfer worth an initial €100 million (£88 million), the most expensive transfer for an Italian club and for a player over 30 years old.

    He won two Serie A titles, two Supercoppa Italiana trophies and a Coppa Italia, before returning to Manchester United in 2021. He left in 2022.

    Ronaldo made his international debut for Portugal in 2003 at the age of 18 and has since earned over 190 caps, making him Portugal’s most-capped player. With more than 100 goals at international level, he is also the nation’s all-time top goalscorer. Ronaldo has played in and scored at 11 major tournaments; he scored his first international goal at Euro 2004, where he helped Portugal reach the final.

    He assumed captaincy of the national team in July 2008. In 2015, Ronaldo was named the best Portuguese player of all time by the Portuguese Football Federation. The following year, he led Portugal to their first major tournament title at Euro 2016, and received the Silver Boot as the second-highest goalscorer of the tournament.

    Ronaldo also led them to victory in the inaugural UEFA Nations League in 2019, receiving the top scorer award in the finals, and later received the Golden Boot as top scorer of Euro 2020.

    One of the world’s most marketable and famous athletes, Ronaldo was ranked the world’s highest-paid athlete by Forbes in 2016 and 2017 and the world’s most famous athlete by ESPN from 2016 to 2019.

    Time included him on their list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2014. He is the first footballer and the third sportsman to earn US$1 billion in his career.

    Ahmed Musa arrives in Riyadh friday to assume Al-Nassr duties

    Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia new signing, Ahmed Musa, is expected to finally join the Riyadh-based club on Friday August 10.

    Musa last week signed a four-year contract with Al Nassr to end his two-year stay with English Premier League club, Leicester City.

    “#ALNASSR new Nigerian ?? player Ahmed Musa @Ahmedmusa718 will arrive at King Khaled Int’l Airport, Riyadh on Friday 2:20 am, welcome to Saudi Arabia ?? Ahmed ??!,” reads a Tweet on Al Nassr’s Twitter handle on Wednesday.

    Musa struggled for regular playing time at Leicester City despite arriving the club on £16m club record fee from Russian club, CSKA Moscow.

    He managed four goals in 33 matches across two seasons for the Foxes before he returned to the Russian Premier League side on loan for the second half of the 2017-18 campaign

    Al Nassr finished in third position in the Saudi Premier League last season.

    They begin their 2018-19 league campaign with a trip to Ohod on August 30.
