    Real reason Alex Ekubo went ‘missing’ on social media revealed

    Nollywood actor, Stanley Ontop, has set the record straight on the health status of his colleague, Alex Ekubo.

    TheNewGuru reports that Ekubo has been conspicuously absent over the past few months. He has not been active on social media, and he has not been seen among his peers. 

    This publication’s checks on the 39-year-old actor’s social media handles, particularly Instagram, indicate that he has not been active on the platform since December 2024.

    However, following the recent outcry from fans of the actor, the light-skinned, talented actor was spotted for the first time in a recent video.

    In the new video, Alex Ekubo was seen with some children. However, his noticeably slimmer and pale physique has left many concerned about his health.

    Giving an update about Ekubo, Stanley Ontop via Instagram stated that Ekubo is in good health and doing great for himself.

    Speaking on why he left social media, Stanley revealed that the “media was too toxic on him”.

    While stating that Ekubo took time from social media and work to regain his sanity, Stanley noted that “depression is real”.

    The thespian wrote, “If you all remember in February I posted his picture and was asking about him. @alexxekubo is very fine and he’s doing great.

    “He just took time from social media and work. The media was too toxic on him so he decided to give you guys some space. Alex is good 100

    Alex is coming back to this media strong and happy. Alex is not sick as being circulated by some mischievous elements. Alex we await your return. Depression is real”, he said.

    Popular Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo has left many of his fans on social media expressing concern yet again over a new video following his recent disappearance from the internet.

    TheNewsGuru reports that the vibrant actor has been laying low over the past few months and has not been active on social media, nor has he been seen among his peers lately.

    Checks by this publication on the 39-year-old actor’s social media handle, particularly Instagram, indicate that he has not been active on the platform since December 2024.

    Following the recent outcry from fans of the actor over the new development, the light-skinned, talented actor was spotted for the first time in a recent video.

    A new video that appeared on social media on Friday captured the moment when the actor was seen with some children. However, his noticeably slimmer and pale physique has left many expressing concerns about his health.

    How fans reacted;

    Reacting to the new video, a fan  Leatytya wrote, “He lost a lot of weight; I hope he is fine”

    Another fan Captain Josy commented, “He doesn’t seem okay. I hope all is well with him.”

    One user, Okm_herbal wrote, “He looks calm and good. I hope he’s good. Life is happening to everyone. May God coke through for everyone who needs him right now.”

    Another  Mira_ander56 said, “He lost lots of weight o. I hope all is well with him?

    A fan Thevictorchinedu mentioned his slimmer physique saying “He looks slimmer; I hope he is genuinely okay

    Opeyemi Falegan, actress Nkechi Blessing’s ex-boyfriend, has taken to social media to defend Alex Ekubo over the revelation by Alex’s ex-fiancee Fancy Acholonu, claiming that, Alex was never intimate with her in the five years of their relationship.

    Recall that Alex has been the topic of debate on social media after his Fancy Acholonu accused him of manipulating her into making several public apologies to humiliate her. She also claimed he never had intercourse with her for the 5 years they were together. The claims have led to debates about Alex’s sexuality.

    Defending Alex, Falegan wrote; “Calling him names (backshot) when you haven’t heard his own part of the story is unacceptable, unreasonable, offensive and also beyond the pale.

    Lies sell more on social media than the fact. have been a victim of lies on social media and I know how it feels. Not having sex for years shows his high moral standards which to me requires a reasonable level of appropriateness, fitness, suitability, morality, virtue modesty and purity. Quite worthy of emulation. (sperm retention) (a King I stan).”

    Fancy Acholonu breaks Ekubo’s heart again, days after tendering public apology

    Fancy Acholonu the America based  model ex-fiancé of nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo has made another U-turn days after apologizing for breaking up with her man.

    Recall that the former lovers got engaged in May 2021 and were already preparing to get married when suddenly Acholonu called off the wedding in August of the same year.

    According to her, she decided to break up with Alex because it is important they both find happiness and live in their truth.

    In her words; “Hey Guys, I am writing to inform you all officially that I have ended my relationship, engagement and I have called off the wedding with Alexx Ekubo. I am aware that this may be a shock to many people. I made the best decision for myself because it is important that everyone finds their happiness and live in their truth. At this time, my family and I ask for you all to please respect our privacy. Thank you so much!”

    However, four days ago  the model issued a public apology to Ekubo vis her social media page, saying she regret her actions and that life hasn’t been the same since they parted ways.

    Ekubo reacted to the apology with a comment which read, “I appreciate the apology. May God bless us all.”

    But checks on the post indicate that it has been taken down

    In an unexpected turn of events, Acholonu took to Instagram on Monday to declare that she is “free” and that “the chain is broken.”

    “Happy New Year everyone. 2023 will be my year of strength, being fearless, speaking up for myself & FINALLY no longer under anyone’s control. I’m free, the chain is broken. May God bless us all. #SimplyFancy,” she captioned the post.

    Fancy Acholonu, ex-fiancee to actor, Alex Ekubo, has revealed that she never wanted her private life to be public. She made this known while reacting to comments by her followers on her new year post on social media.

    Acholonu in her reactions hinted that she was “manipulated” into issuing a public apology to Alex Ekubo, months after she called off their engagement.

    Recall that she had in her apology post shared on Thursday, December 29, 2022, said she was sorry for hurting her ex-fiance, Alex Ekubo and his family. The actor also took to the comment section to appreciate her for the public apology.

    In her new year message, she wrote; “Happy New Year everyone 2023 will be my year of strength, being fearless, speaking up for myself & FINALLY no longer under anyone’s control. I’m free, the chain is broken. May God bless us all”.

    In an exchange that ensued with her followers shortly after posting her news year message, Acholonu revealed that she never wanted her private life in public space. She added that she was manipulated into issuing the apology and she fell for it.

    The model who also said her eyes are now open, further disclosed that people are “attacking’ her without knowing why she called off their engagement.

    Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo  has reacted to his ex-fiance, Fancy Acholonu’s apology post  on social media.

    Recall that a highly publicized wedding between the actor and his model girlfriend was called off by Fancy three months to the wedding citing personal reasons.

    The Nigerian-American model and actress had on Thursday publicly apologized to Alex Ekubo and his family on her social media handle.

    According to Fancy, she really felt bad that she hurt the actor and her family with how she handled their breakup in 2021, saying life has been hard after losing Alex Ekubo due to the wedding’s cancellation.

    Her post reads partly ”Nothing makes sense when we are apart @alexxekubo you still have my heart. I miss you, I love you, and I am truly sorry for all the hurt & pain you and your family went through with our breakup. I should have controlled my emotions and bit been so overreactive. I said too much, I did too much. Please forgive me. I’ve learned my lesson

    Taking to her comment section to acknowledge the post, Alex appreciated the apology and prayed for her.

    He wrote, “I appreciate the apology. May God bless us all”.

    The internet was set agog in August 2021 when Fancy Acholonu called off her three months engagement with the actor.

    Confirming their breakup, Fancy Acholonu took to her Instagram page to plead for privacy. According to Fancy, she broke up with him because they both needed to find happiness and live in their truth.

    It’s still unclear if both ex-lovers will get back together and continued from where they stopped.

    Nigerian actor and model,Alex Ekubo may be handsome and suave, but when it comes to issues of national interest he doesn’t hesitate to express his views.

    The actor recently took to his social media page, lamenting over the issues bedevilling Nigeria at the moment.

    He said: “I’m tired. I’m done pretending. I’m heartbroken. How do you tell a homeless person not to wash his dirty linen in public when clearly he lives in public view? Living in Nigeria has become like living an unending episode of a series of unfortunate events, we can’t seem to catch a break. We have always suffered what my dad described as ‘the tragedy of foisted leaders’. The leaders constantly tell us that we are the leaders of tomorrow, yet 80 and above still cling to power like it’s their oxygen tank.

    “I once likened Nigeria to the proverbial ‘small dog with a big name’ after filming in Cameroon for eight days without experiencing power outage. They called me unpatriotic, they asked for my head on a plate, they called me a sellout but the truth is, since I was born, I have never experienced steady power supply in my country.

    It is important to note I turned 32 in April. Please, nobody should tell me to pray for Nigeria. INEC would not count your prayer points. I’ve been praying all my life and nothing has changed, I want to give heaven a break. This is a call to action, we need to get our PVC and end this before it ends us”, he declared.
