Again, Rivers APC attacks Wike, says he’s too ashamed to join them

The Rivers state chapter of the  All Progressives Congress, (APC) has denied ever inviting the immediate past governor of the state, Nyesom Wike to join the party.

APC described those making the claims and the calls for Wike to join their party as imposters.

in a statement signed and released by the the Publicity Secretary, Darlington Nwauju, he said that Wike is too ashamed of joining the same party he had described as cancer.

Nwauju said the terror unleashed on APC members during Wike’s administration is enough evidence to confirm that Wike has no business with Rivers State APC.

The Spokesman of APC, therefore, disassociated the leadership of the party from any “so-called” stakeholders meeting, suggesting that the party and its benefits be handed over to Wike.

He dared anyone to provide video evidence of Wike campaigning openly for the APC in the state in the just concluded election.

Nwauju reiterated the party’s resolve to lend one hundred percent support to the policies and programs of the Federal Government under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.

The statement, however, warned those they described as blackmailers to desist from the shameless tradition of using the name of the APC to curry favor from, “desperate politicians seeking relevance at the centre.”

Guber Polls: Delta PDP accuses Omo Agege of using thugs to disrupt election

Following the just concluded gubernatorial and State House of Assembly election in the state, the Delta state Peoples Democratic Party has accused the Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and the All Progressive Congress, (APC) of deploying thugs to scuttle electoral processes in the country.

The Delta PDP made this accusation via a statement released and signed Deputy Director, Media & Publicity, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza.

The statement reads in part: The attention of the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has been drawn to a most callous anti-democratic and counter-progressive frenzy which confirms that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and the All Progressive Congress, APC have deployed thugs and personnel dressed in Army and Police uniforms, to disrupt elections and cart away electoral materials in Orogun Ward 2 and all units in the Ward, which is Omo-Agege’s home town.

The reports also confirm that Prof. Patrick Muoboghare and Spencer Ohwhofa, two well-known APC Chieftains, came to the Collation Centre in Uwheru, Evwreni, Ughelli North general area, with persons dressed in Police Uniforms as well as a detachment of suspected Soldiers, shooting sporadically, and carted away all INEC sensitive materials, including BVAS machines, to unknown locations. This orgy of senselessness was provoked by the fact that they are losing badly in these areas.

We are drawing the attention of the police authorities and the military high command to these atrocities allegedly committed by their men acting on the instructions of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and we strongly urge them to take swift and appropriate disciplinary action against anyone found culpable in these incidents.

We are equally putting INEC on notice that we would not accept any contrary results declared from areas where we were clearly leading but elections were visibly disrupted, electoral materials destroyed or carted away and election officials intimidated, harassed, and even abducted, by persons identified as acting at the behest of APC and Ovie Omo-Agege.

2023: There are plans to scuttle elections – Fani Kayode

An All Progressive Congress chieftain and  former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has noted that there are plans by some cabal to mar the forthcoming general elections in the country.

Fani-Kayode made this comment via his personal Twitter page on Wednesday night.

According to him, the plans include hoarding of the new Naira notes, fuel scarcity and creating an atmosphere of fear and panic.

His Tweet reads in part “Whatever your plans are to scuttle this election, whether through new naira notes, fuel scarcity or creating an atmosphere of fear & panic, YOU SHALL FAIL.

“The cat is out of the bag. We know the plan. We know who you are using. We know who is behind it. We know what to do,” Fani-Kayode wrote.

Recall that presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, holds same views when he told his supporters same thing during his campaign rally in Abeokuta, Ogun on Wednesday.

Tinubu insisted that “even, if there is no fuel, Nigerians should not worry, nothing can stop the elections from holding. We are going to vote and we are going to win.”

  • Naja’atu was sacked for incompetence and being a mole – APC

Naja’atu was sacked for incompetence and being a mole – APC

Mamhud Jega, the adviser on Public Affairs to the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress  (APC) has stated the reasons Hajiya Naja’atu Mohammed left the APC.

Jega noted that the former APC member was fired for being incompetent and playing the role of a mole in the party.
The special adviser on Public Affairs made his known via a press release to state the party’s position on the matter.
    Jega’s statement reads:
The Asiwaju/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council received with amusement the hasty “resignation” of Hajiya Naja’atu Mohammed from her position as Director of Civil Society Organisations just before she was sacked for incompetence, quarrelsomeness and after being uncovered to be a mole planted in our winning campaign in order to leak sensitive information to our desperate opponents.
Although she deceived the gullible public by claiming that she resigned, her sack letter with ignominy from the campaign and the party had just arrived at her desk. Her desperate, fact-free, machination-filled and imaginary utterances since her sack from the campaign has proved beyond doubt that she was unfit to serve in the first place, until it was discovered that she was actually a mole.
Not being a medical doctor but whose profession in the last three decades was as a political jobber and expert name dropper, she nevertheless issued a pseudo-medical report on our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, after a brief meeting in London.
Even the association of native doctors would sack her for quackery and for reaching a medical conclusion without any test.
Despite his position as the clear front runner in the 2023 presidential race, Asiwaju has been running the most punishing campaign schedule of any of the presidential candidates, and has already visited many parts of the country with an almost non-stop schedule of rallies, town hall meetings and meetings with professional, community, business and religious groups and associations.
Naja’atu claimed that when she asked Asiwaju what plans he had for the North, he answered that he had none.
This is strange and questions the integrity of the woman and her story.
Asíwájú has unfolded an Action plan for the whole country, in which problems bedeviling the North got very comprehensive attention. Asiwaju also attended the Arewa Summit last year, at which he unfolded and elaborated on these programs.
As conclusive proof of her unstable and unreliable character, Naja’atu said in her pre-emptive “resignation letter” that she was quitting party politics as the political parties have no ideological differences and her values and beliefs no longer align with party politics.
Within a day, pictures surfaced in the media showing her meeting with the PDP presidential candidate and declaring her support for him.
All Nigerians must be wondering what kind of “values and beliefs” she has apart from opportunism, selfishness and greed.
We were least surprised about her dramatic exit, coming after she went on TV to disparage our party and President Muhammadu Buhari. Only a mole could behave in such a manner.
We urge our supporters all over the country to ignore the antics of this political soldier of fortune and concentrate on the job of delivering the Tinubu/Shettima ticket at the polls in barely a month from now.

2023 Elections: Garba knocks Obasanjo for endorsing Peter Obi

One of the loyalists of the Bola Tinubu the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Adamu Garba has knocked former President, Olusegun Obasanjo over his endorsement of the Labour Party’s flag bearer, Peter Obi.

Garba made this statement in one of his New year’s day post on his verified Twitter handle on Sunday.

He berated Obasanjo for endorsing Peter Obi, accusing the Egba high chief of being envious of the heights Tinubu has attained in politics.

Recall that Obasanjo had in a lengthy New Year message to Nigerians, endorsed Obi amongst other presidential candidates for the 2023 election, saying he remains a better candidate.

However, the endorsement did not sit well with Garba, who took to his Twitter handle to express his displeasure.

He wrote, “Envy is an immense disease. I respect & continue to respect General Olusegun Obasanjo. However, I advise him to outgrow his envy of Tinubu at this stage of his life.

“Obasanjo is desperately envious of the rise and shine of Bola Ahmed Tinubu; his lost (sic) in this one is sure to come.”

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has warned his supporters not to mention actress Funke Akindele in his presence, saying it’s very disrespectful to do that.

Akindele is the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Lagos state.

Tinubu made this statement during a campaign in Lagos on Thursday.

The former Lagos State governor while campaigning for himself also used the opportunity to do so for the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu who’s seeking re-election.

At the political outing, his supporters had sung a campaign song, describing Akindele as a political ‘ant’ compared to Sanwo-Olu.

The song goes thus “Who is Funke Akindele before Sanwo-Olu of Lagos? She is an ant,” the supporters sang.

But Tinubu fumed: “Don’t even bother to mention her name in my presence. It is an insult. It is disrespectful.”

Tinubu mentioned this while addressing a grop of persons who worked for Osinbajo’s presidential bid prior to the APC presidential primaries.

Ahead of the APC presidential primary, there were controversial reactions after Osinbajo declared his bid to contest the presidency with Tinubu also in the race.

It was then rumoured that both politicians had fallen out since then.

But Tinubu said: “I have nothing against him. I’ve been to his house after the primaries.

“If you cannot give forgiveness, how are you asking from Allah? To me, it is over.”

Tinubu is not medically fit – Pat Utomi

Professor of political economy and chieftain of the Labour Party, Pat Utomi has challenged the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu to go for medical check up and declare the result to ascertain his fitness level.

Utomi made the statement on Monday evening while featuring on Channels Television political programme, Politics today, adding that the 2023 elections is about lives of Nigerians.

The professor of political economy reiterated that the former governor of Lagos is not medically fit for the position of the country’s president.

He said “Our country has suffered so much from having ailing leaders. That was why the Vice President stepped up.

“American Presidents go through medicals that are made public. Let him (Tinubu) go for medicals with Nigerian doctors up in the hospital and make it public.

“It is the life of millions of people that we are dealing with”, Utomi added.

The renowned economist also noted that the ruling party, the APC, made a mistake by not fielding another candidate in the person of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, adding that he would have been a better candidate.

“The Vice President (Yemi) would have been a fit person. You can see he (Tinubu) is ailing. Common, let’s not kill ourselves, let’s be honest”, he said.
