Anyim Vera: Pastor Enenche told to apologise loudly

Gospel singer Lara Geoge has criticized Pastor Paul Enenche, the founder of Dunamis Church, over his ‘weak’ apology to Anyim Veronica, the lady he humiliated in front of his congregation.

The gospel singer in a statement insisted that his apology should match the volume of his rebuke.

Pastor Enenche sparked reactions on social media when he publicly berated Veronica in his church for what he perceived as a false testimony.

The church issued a statement addressing the incident, and Pastor Paul Enenche, accompanied by his wife Becky, reportedly met with Vera to discuss the matter.

Lara George expressed dissatisfaction, arguing that the church’s statement lacked a sincere apology.

She emphasized that Pastor Enenche should offer a proper apology to the lady who endured the embarrassment, rather than attempting to simply move past the incident without addressing its impact.

    She wrote:

“Erm. That’s not an apology. When it leaves room for doubt, you haven’t apologized. WWJD?

“Be humble enough to apologise to her properly.Let your apology be as loud and as clear as your criticism.

“Nah! It’s not nice. Doesn’t matter who you are, we should all treat others as we would like to be treated. She doesn’t speak as well as you think she should, therefore you can conclude she is telling a lie? Based on the way she speaks?

“The way she speaks is a reflection of what we have allowed in our society. Every politician that you coddled instead of speaking the truth to, who stole funds that should have gone into healthcare, or education, or any other public welfare initiative…… well…… that’s the outcome. Graduates who speak like that. And you…. contributed to the condition of that society. The contributions from people like her is what has built the edifice you sit in. And while you sit there, we don’t hear you speak for the voiceless or defend the helpless.

“Nah. It’s not nice. Apologize to her properly. Unequivocally. That write-up that you had your people do, is really an insult on top of her injury. You know this. You would never dare address the matter that way if she was from a wealthy background.

“At the end of the day, the way you treat someone who you think you will never need is the true indicator of your character”.

Anyim Veronica Nnenna, also known as Anyim Vera, has said she bears no grudge against Pastor Paul Enenche nor against the Dunamis International Gospel Centre.

Despite, Anyim Vera in a statement via her official Facebook profile, revealed she remains committed to serving God as a member of Dunamis church.

“I want to inform the whole world that I just had a warm meeting with my spiritual father and mother Dr Paul Enenche and Dr Becky Enenche.

“I don’t have any grudge against the church or them. I remain committed to serving God as a member of Dunamis church.

BREAKING: Dunamis breaks silence over Anyim Vera’s testimony

Dunamis International Gospel Centre, having Pastor Paul Enenche as Senior Pastor has finally broken silence on the testimony by Anyim Veronica Nnenna, also known as Anyim Vera.

Anyim Vera was silenced and called a liar by Pastor Enenche while she was sharing a testimony during church service on Sunday.

In her testimony, Vera was recounting the joy of being the first graduate in her family despite numerous hurdles that almost made the journey unsuccessful for her.

However, Enenche interrupted her and quizzed her about the degree she bagged. Her response, ‘BSc in Law’ was followed with immediate ridicule from the preacher.

In an official statement by Dunamis released by Sylvester Edoh, Personal Assistant/Secretary to Pastor Enenche, the church explained why Enenche stopped the testimony of Anyim Vera and linked it as a product of a “lie”.

The church stressed in the statement that Pastor Enenche intended no harm or hurt Anyim Vera and he has since reached out to the testifier.

The statement titled “an official statement on Ms Anyim Veronica Nnenna’s testimony” reads in full below:

A scenario was created on Sunday the 14th April, 2024 at the Glory Dome, the Global Headquarters of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, when Ms Anyim Veronica Nnenna came out to testify of how God helped her graduate from the University, thus making her the first person to attain that feat in her family.

These were the immediate triggers for the said scenario:

First, listening to the testifier’s expressions as it borders on basic spoken English, conveys the impression that the minimum standard expectation of a graduate, especially a graduate of Law was not met.

Second, stating that she studied Law for 10 years begged the question of what her degree actually was.

Third, she was unable to state exactly what the correct degree was for Law which is LLB, rather she said it was a BSc in Law which is largely unknown as a Law degree in Nigeria and possibly globally.

These prompted the Senior Pastor. Dr. Paul Enenche to stop the testimony immediately as a product of a “lie.” However, relief came when it was later confirmed that she actually graduated from a university.

It must be pointed out clearly here that embarrassing the testifier publicly with the attendant media frenzy was never intended; whatever happened was under the spur of the moment.

The action of the Senior Pastor was rather based on his and the church’s aversion to seeming mediocrity and any appearance of untruth.

While we remain resolute in our passion for excellence, intolerance of mediocrity and falsehood, we wish to reiterate the fact that no harm or hurt was ever intended by the Senior Pastor against Ms. Anyim Veronica.

The Senior Pastor feels deeply concerned and had already reached out to her.

As a Commission, we regret every inconvenience, hurt and embarrassment this unfortunate scenario has caused to Ms Anyim Veronica Nnenna.

We remain committed to her physical welfare as well as her spiritual growth. God bless us all.

Nigerians have slammed the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Worldwide, Pastor Paul Enenche for disgracing a lady over ‘BSc in law’ testimony during Sunday service.

Pastor Enenche is currently faced with severe criticism for publicly embarrassing the lady, identified as Anyim Veronica Nnenna, calling her a liar during her testimony about graduating with ‘BSc in Law.’

During a testimony session, the lady, also known as Anyim Vera, recounted the joy of being the first graduate in her family despite numerous hurdles that almost made the journey unsuccessful.
