    Nigerian showbiz couple, Banky W and Adesua are yet to recover from the euphoria of their ‘talk of the town’ wedding.

    The newly- weds held a thanksgiving wedding reception in London during the weekend.

     

    According to reports, the decision to have a UK wedding thanksgiving is because the bride grew up there and her mum still resides and holds the office of a Pastor in the UK

    A video which surfaced online shows both Banky W and Adesua bopping into a venue surrounded by family and friends at the event.

    Recall that the couple had a destination wedding in Capetown, South Africa, on November 25, 2017.

    Just when everyone thought Banky W and Adesua will stay off the limelight after their funfair wedding , the couple are once again trending on social media following the release of their wedding documentary aptly tagged: ‘The Wellingtons.’

     

    The documentary highlighted tidbits of their wedding ceremony.

    In the documentary Banky W revealed why he chose to marry Adesua.

    He said: “I met Adesua in 2015 and after inquiring about her from her manager, Isioma, i went online to search for her and found her social media handles.

    “I looked her up online and I liked what I saw. I googled her, stalked her on the gram and a day or two later, I slid into her DM like the real man that I am.

    “I had two defining moments with Adesua. One was before we started speaking. It was actually when I was stalking her and I saw a video of her and her childhood friends singing worship songs and I felt like this is really refreshing to find someone in our line of work that would readily show this part of them.

    “The second part when I knew was when we took a private trip somewhere and it was the first time that she danced with me and at this point, I already knew she was a spiritual girl and a praying woman. But if i can confess, I was a little bit worried that when it comes to the turnups and the fun, I wasnt sure if she would be free like that and the very first time she danced with me, they were playing Rihanna’s ”Work” and she danced with me. Ladies and Gentlemen, once you have the spiritual and physical, you close shop, you move.

    ”I wasn’t specifically looking for an entertainer as a wife because of what I presumed, but she took me off the balance.

    “I am glad i married Adesua because she understands my business and the pressure that comes with it”.

    Newly married Banky W hasn’t just carved a niche for himself in the music industry, the versatile entertainer is fast becoming a force to reckon with in Nollywood.

    Banky W stated in a recent interview that he is his own biggest critic. He said this mindset has been instrumental to his success so far.

    “Anybody that has paid attention to my music videos would know that I have had this flirtatious love affair with the movie-making business because most of my videos are short films. I tend to tell stories with my music videos because I have always been a storyteller. In fact, from my younger days, I always considered myself as a writer before I saw myself as a singer or an actor. In that sense, watching myself on the screen was not much of a surprise because I have been flirting with it for a long time.

    “I try to be my biggest critic and I consider myself as such. That is how I am about my music and businesses. I feel that the day you are satisfied with your performance and job, it is the beginning of the end because you would start to become complacent. I am always harsh on myself. So, even people think I have done a good job; I try to look at the one area that I can improve on. While I really love Wedding Party 1, I feel there were things I could have improved on. It is the same thing with the second part; I watch the movie and I look for my mistakes. I have not even started to watch the film yet; instead, I am looking for where I made mistakes. That is just the way that I am as an entertainer and performer.”

    Just last week Saturday, social media was buzzing with the much talked about weddings of Oristefemi and Banky W. As usual Nigerians compared the two weddings in terms of class, buzz, glamour and social media attention.

     

    However, the self-proclaimed music Taliban has said he doesn’t have qualms with getting married with Banky W on the same day. He added that no one can say that Banky W’s wedding outshined his.

     

    “Initially, I did not notice that people were comparing my wedding with Banky W’s but later, after the whole ceremony, I noticed it. I did not even know that Banky was getting married on the same day that I did. But to be truthful, I knew that he had a ceremony about a week ago so I thought that was his wedding. I have no issues with both of us getting married on the same day, if anything; it was more fun because like they say, the more the merrier. I was the one that got married and I am not even doing any form of comparison. All I wanted was to have a classy wedding and I got that at the end of the day.

     

    “My wedding was well attended by highly respected people in the society. I don’t see any comparison because Banky even had his own in South Africa while mine was in Nigeria.

     

    “Banky’s wedding did not outshine mine. Although I did not follow what was happening on the social media, I was told that my wedding trended on Twitter. I feel it was more fun for us that we got married on the same day and we were keeping people busy on the Internet. The Internet almost went crazy for both weddings. I don’t see any problem with it”

    Nigerian pop star, Banky W has revealed that when he first met his friend, Ebuka Uchendu he did not like him. He made this statement while extolling the virtues of his lawyer friend, Ebuka on Instagram during his birthday.

    Ebuka is the outspoken and multi talented host of Big Brother Naija known for his witty ways of presenting.

     

    Banky W puts it this way:”So when I first met @ebuka I didn’t like him because I thought he was arrogant. He’s still arrogant but he’s become one of my favourite people, period.

    “Except when he was trying to chance me as @captdemuren’s best man LOL. Love him like a brother, and he’s genuinely one of the most impressive people I know. Lawyer, writer, TV personality, events MC of life, Gymspiration, professional fine boys club executive board member, husband, father.. AND one of the best friends a guy could have in his corner.   • Banky W goes back to school

    EME boss cum musician, Banky W has gone back to school for further studies. The Wedding Party star made this known on his Snapchat that he would be taking a course on screenwriting in New York Film Academy. Banky shared a picture of his student ID card on Wednesday.

    The New York Film Academy offers degrees and workshops in filmmaking, scriptwriting, screenwriting, cinematography, among others.

    Recall that Banky W graduated from the academy in 2014, which made him release a Music Film Experience after taking a course in directing.

     

    A day after Valentine of 2013, Banky launched his new album “R&BW” with a concert tagged the “The Grand Love Concert” at the Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos, which featured several other artistes including Iyanya, Waje and more. The first two singles from the album are “Lowkey” and “Yes/No”

     

    He got engaged to Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi some months back.
