We had three failed IVFs-Banky W

Popular Singer, Banky W has shared his struggles with infertility and childbirth.

Banky W in a tell-it-all video on YouTube said he and his wife considered surrogacy when they could not have a child after a failed IVF.

“Everyday one rumor or the other about us on the internet, some said I was impotent or my wife was barren. Sometimes these people are just projecting their hurt on us.

“We had IVF before we lost the twins. In all, we had three failed IVFs.

“We considered surrogacy and had a surrogate at the time but we decided we were not going to do anything anymore to get a child.”

Banky W stated that after they tried IVF three times, he made a decision with his wife to stop trying to get pregnant and let God have his way.

“We decided to stay one year without trying anything and trust God or adopt if that’s what God wants. Within that year of trusting God, we got good news,” he added.

Adesuwa also speaking on her struggles while trying to get pregnant added, “Some said I’m barren, you did something with your womb. I heard all sorts and every single time I heard that i just went back to God telling him to show himself, since I serve him faithfully, he should let them know I serve him. I kept telling God they are mocking you not me.

“I felt like God was not coming through, it was like a monthly breakdown. We had multiple failed IVF, I have veins in my hand that no longer work.

“IVF is a tasking thing emotional, physically and very tough for any woman.

“During that period of IVF, I was bloated and people thought I was pregnant but it was really a tough period for me. The second IVF did not work at all.”

How we lost twins to miscarriage- Adesua Etomi

Nigerian actress, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, has revealed that she was pregnant with twins but suffered a miscarriage.

The talented actress and wife of soulful singer, Banky W, made this known during a chat at The Waterbrook Studio while sharing the testimony of God’s faithfulness in their lives.

She stated that when the doctors told her they could not find the children’s heartbeat, she initially laughed, but upon getting home, she broke down and began to cry

“We got pregnant with twins and we had gone for the scans and we had seen the heartbeats. At this point, very few people know when this happened. Every report you have heard is a lie because nobody knew when it happened. We saw the heartbeat and everything was okay.

“During a routine check up, we went back to the hospital to have a scan and I just saw the doctor’s face ― you know when something is wrong; sometimes you can tell. The doctor was scanning and I asked, ‘what is wrong’ but she said nothing.

“I looked at the nurse’s face and she looked a bit funny too. I asked what was wrong and she said, ‘Adesua, I am looking for the heartbeat.’ I asked, ‘for two of them?’And she said yes. I am actually not going to lie, I started laughing because it did not make any sense to me. I was like, ‘what do you mean you can’t find the heartbeat of both?’ She said ‘Yes’. Banky was not home at the time, so, I went home and I remember being in our living room. When I was at the hospital I was laughing; I was like ‘God knows’.

Speaking further, she said, “When I got home, I literally collapsed on the floor and I wailed. Wailing is not the same thing as crying. Wailing is a deep groaning in your chest. It is like a nut that you cannot get rid of. I am sharing this because so many women go through this but nobody talks about it because it is almost like a thing of shame for whatever reason and I don’t know why, because you don’t control your body; you don’t create yourself.

“I want to give a shout out to every single woman that has gone through IVF. I know what you have gone through. I have veins in my hand that no longer work; they are so traumatized that you cannot get blood out of them. IVF is a very tasking thing ― emotionally and physically on your body, mentally it is very tough.

“It was very tough; it was very hard. I was going through it while going through the fact that every day I will hear one rumour or the other. Some said I was barren, some said my husband was impotent or I had done something to my womb. It was very hard, but I am saying this because I promised God that I would and there is nothing anybody can do to make me shut up about the goodness of God.

“It is funny how we can accept that the other organs might need help; you can get a heart transplant, you can get help with your kidneys, but when it comes to the reproductive organs, it is like a dirty topic nobody wants to talk about. I think it is really important that we talk about it”.

You are many things my love…Incredibly talented, unbelievably intelligent, wise beyond your years, generous, compassionate, hardworking, patient, loving, kind, loyal, and so much more
Thank you for being the human being that you are Bubba. For being my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, my confidant and for being the best husband I could have ever dreamt of having.
God dey create and he certainly took time to create you.

I have learnt to be kinder, gentler, more generous through watching you

Nations shall rise and call you blessed, kings will not sit till you walk into the room. I bless you with the blessings of Abraham, Isaac and Israel. A city set upon a hill cannot be hidden. I declare that your glory will never be hidden.
Lies are only for a moment but truth will continue forever (proverbs 12:19- NCV) and you my darling, are the truth. I love you longtime. Truly, madly, deeply. “

It became hard to pray. I’d stay in my house, in bed for daysss. I never talked about it. On so many occassions, I’d cry myself to sleep. I constantly wished i was someone else. I was deeply unhappy”.

  • FG orders cinemas to stop showing Sugar Rush

FG orders cinemas to stop showing Sugar Rush

The National Film and Video Censors Board has ordered cinemas nationwide to stop showing highly anticipated movie, Sugar Rush.

The NVFCB, Executive Director, Adedayo Thomas, noted that the movie was not suspended because of some scenes found to depict the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission as an incompetent organisation.

The film, which has grossed about N160m since its release on December 25, 2019, was directed by Kayode Kasum and produced by award winning film maker, Jade Osiberu.

The movie was, however, removed from cinemas by the NFVCB, the Federal Government agency responsible for classifying movies and giving approval for release.

According to some online movie reviewers, the comedy-drama also showed failed attempts by the EFCC to recover the money, depicting the EFCC operatives as incompetent and unprofessional.

Several online reports suggest that the poor portrayal of the EFCC in the comedy was one of the reasons it was pulled out of cinema.

Confirming the suspension of the movie, Banky W said he was optimistic that it would return to theatres.

He wrote on Twitter, “Thank you all so much for the support that our film Sugar Rush has received. Unfortunately, due to issues that are way beyond our control, Sugar Rush has been suspended from playing in cinemas.

“We’re hoping the issues will be resolved quickly, so we can resume screening as soon as possible.”
