However, Cuatro says Juve have made their pitch to Aguero and with a superior offer.

Former Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure has declared he wants to work in the La Masia academy.

Toure has said he would like to return to Barcelona one day in an interview with Cadena SER.

“I am finishing my coaching badges,” he explained. “Barcelona, for me, is the team where I want to end up. I don’t know if in Barça B, in the academy, but I want to work at Barcelona. I would love to work at La Masia — I still have a home in Barcelona.”

Liverpool see Barca attacker as Mane’s replacement

Premier League club Liverpool are being linked with Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele.

Fichajes.net says Liverpool are prepared to spend big to sign Dembele as a replacement for Sadio Mane.

It’s been a disappointing season for Mane, who has scored just 12 goals in all competitions and only five since the turn of the year as Jurgen Klopp’s side fell out of contention for every trophy.

Reports suggest that Liverpool are considering cashing in on the Senegal international, 29, in the summer despite his contract still having two years to run.

Dembele is the man being lined up to replace him.

The France international, 23, has just a year remaining on his Barcelona contract but recently admitted that talks over a new deal at the Nou Camp still haven’t started.

  • We were betrayed by Vinicius Jr – Ex-Barca chief

Former Barcelona chief Andre Cury has recalled how they missed out on the signing of Vinicius Junior.

Vinicius left Flamengo for Real Madrid in 2018, though Cury insists a deal had been agreed with Barcelona.

He told Sport: “Their agents, Frederico Penna and Stefano Hawilla, who had reached a compromise with Barcelona, betrayed us. The client of their company was us and not Madrid. I had a gigantic friendship with them, to the point of being the best man at their wedding and their children.

“At the key moment of the operation, they stabbed us. Fifteen days before signing for Madrid, here in Brazil, Vinicius said that he was a Barça fan, that his idol was Neymar and affirmed that Messi was better than Cristiano. Then he said what he wanted when he was already in Madrid.

“His agents and Vinicius’s father were in Barcelona. Wagner Ribeiro called Florentino advising him. And he invited them to go to Madrid on Saturday. They told us that they would go, but that nothing would happen because the footballer was already going to Barcelona. There was a verbal commitment.

“Juni Calafat himself said that it was almost impossible to close it because he knew the relationship I had with the player’s environment. The agents returned to Barcelona, closed the final agreement with us, shook our hands … And then they disappeared and betrayed us.”

“Nobody leaves Barcelona for Croatia. Nobody. It just isn’t done. But I did. As soon as my father told me about the offer, I said, ‘I’m leaving’. As simple as that. I needed to get out of my comfort zone, and this felt like the natural step, even if I was only 16 years old.”
