  • #BBNaija: Tobi’s brother angry over Big Brother’s sanction against Tobi

Viewers of the ongoing Big Brother Nigeria Reality TV show were shocked when Biggie sanctioned Tobi for allegedly conspiring against his estranged in-house lover, Cee-c.

A certain video was played where Tobi was seen discussing with Lolu and Anto. Biggie insinuated that Tobi instigated the duo to put up Cee-c for possible eviction.

Tobi’s sanction has however sparked different reactions on social media.

His brother, Femi Bakre has shared a series of tweets on Instagram accusing the organizers of the show of double standards.

    1. The Non-Investigation on False Sexual Assault Allegations by Cee C

Cee-C was already on two strikes when it became clear that she had played a ‘dirty’ card and accused Tobi of assault. There was no investigation, no videos were played, complete silence #bbnaija

    2. Why?

Clearly, Cee-C was the most talked about housemate so @BBNaija could not afford to have her disqualified as it would ruin their game show. So they turned a blind eye to this heinous allegation despite @Biggyiscrazy ‘s vehement protests #bbnaija @bbnaija @PayPorte

    3. A Strike for for Dee-One

Earlier in the game, Dee-One was given a strike for instigation after he had clearly been conspiring to put team Cebi up. No videos were played, no noise was made, nothing. They, instead, lazily put all housemates up for eviction instead #bbnaija

    4. Tobi’s Strike for Conspiracy

Conspiracy is defined as a ‘secret plot by a group to do something harmful’. By definition, for Tobi to have conspired, Anto and Lolu must also have conspired. How do you issue Tobi a strike and ignore the co-conspirators? #bbnaija

  • Return of BBNaija housemates: Angry Nigerians react

Following the announcement made by the organizers of the ongoing BBNaija reality TV show that two evicted housemates would be voted back to the house, Nigerians on social media have condemned the new development.

The host of the show, Ebuka on Sunday said:“There’s a major change in this week’s voting.

“Big Brother has accorded two evicted housemates the opportunity to return to the show and play for the money.

“So instead of voting for eviction, you will rather be voting for recall of two housemates.”

Angry Nigerians took to their social media handles expressing their disappointments, adding that they expected the organizers to bring in fake housemates not evicted ones.

Here are comments gathered by TheNewsGuru

@Tweetoracle “I am vehemently OPPOSING the MOVE to return evicted HM’s to the House. Our voice is rising in collective ire. We don’t want this. I repeat !!! We don’t want this !!!!

@Myamisa “This is rubbish hawu they were evicted for a reason y come back??

@Fluffybanana “We are aware they’ve done this before in other countries. But most times the evicted housemates are isolated from the world. Even in BBA, they didn’t go home, biggie kept them in a barn! Change the game if you want but let it be fair!

@fabulouspromo “This is just not fair nah Big @BBNaija. Don’t bring any yeye evicted house mate back oh…They’ll know whatsupp.. I’m beginning to think there’s a corruption somewhere tho.

@kingofsinging “The returned housemates might just be re-evicted almost immediately. It would be terrible for their reputation if they get evicted within 2 weeks of being back in the house.

@ola_mide555 “We were expecting fake housemate big brother brought a nonsense idea #BBNaija

@dombarney “Well a lot of people saying it’s wrong for biggie to bring back housemates, the truth is the move can actually make the game more competitive, some of the housemates are just so complacent right now. Anyways please vote Khloe and Kbrule back

@UrpwettieGF “Imagine if an evicted or disqualified housemate win the show… Big Brother Nigeria Season 3 would be the scam of century

@Markex01 “The whole #BBNaija crew are senseless. If they bring back evicted hms then it’s totally obvious that everything has been scripted. U guys are outta ideas I can feel it imo

@Rooboy “We don’t want any of them back on the show!!!

@Cee_oma “No #Bbnaija ex HMs is worth bringing back. Please let us move on!!

  • BBNaija is an epitome of domestic immorality- Segun Dada

When think you of a talented, brainy and passionate actor, you can’t ignore Segun Dada. He is a rising actor, theatre practitioner and singer.

The lanky role interpreter has starred in movies like Burn, Reciprocity and King Invincible. The graduate of Lagos State University who is currently in the Season 6 of MTV Shuga opens up on his passion for acting, the ongoing Big Brother Naija, heartbreaks, among other issues.

What prompted your passion for acting?

I grew up watching cartoons and playing video games, so I have always liked imitating other characters and mimicking voices.

Right from secondary school days, I usually analyse movies with my friends. I just knew acting was what I’d always love to do. It comes effortlessly to me. I am extremely passionate about using my whole being to tell a story. So, here I am. Look where it got me.

How did you get the role for the ongoing edition of MTVShuga?

I did with serious prayer and fasting. You know as Nigerians we say “It is God o!” Yes. I prepared my monologue based on a scene from Wole Soyinka’s DEATH AND THE KING’S HORSEMAN. I had recently performed it with THE NATIONAL TROUPE OF NIGERIA, so the fire was still hot. Then I attended the auditions and I was glad to get a call back.

How has that impacted on your career?

Well, it has got me quite a lot of attention as an actor and even as a model. The massive publicity that comes with being on Shuga has also opened some doors in high places.

It has also boosted my confidence and experience as a growing actor. Of course that is the biggest job on my CV right now. And there is always room for improvement.

How has your theatre arts background given you leverage In Nollywood?

They say if you’re good on stage, you’ll be great on Tv.It has been a thrilling transition for me since I started acting in film and tv. Especially when I have to learn lines quickly in short periods of time, arriving early enough at the location for shoots, character building and analysis, etc. All of which is the proper Stage and Theatre training. But I have also had to learn the arduous trick of not speaking too loudly while acting for film, as opposed to the loud vocal projections used on the stage.

Was there a time you wanted to quit acting?

No. I could never think of quitting. What else would I do? Nothing else could give me joy and that feeling of fulfilment. I have had discouraging moments and down times. I have gone jobless for several months, but all I ever wanted was to get better at my craft. I get up and show up anyway.

If you are to change anything, what would that be?

I would change my location, maybe even my origin. I will love to be in a developed country with global level playing chances. Hollywood would be great.

On what occasion do you lie?

I don’t lie. Unless I know you can’t handle the simple truth so I tell you an alternative, for your own good. Or if I really need to move on to something else, I can decide to. I’m not an angel though. And honesty is always the best policy.

What is your most challenging movie?

That will be King Invincible. It was an adventure. I was checked into a hospital and got two injections while shooting that one. The fight choreography, the workout sessions, the long nights of filming, not forgetting that the location was far away from civilization. In the end, I got the growth and experience I needed, having worked with Tope Tedela, Gabriel Afolayan, Omowunmi Dada and other great actors.

    Can you date an actress?

I’m happily married now so that’s out of it. But if I wasn’t, I still couldn’t really date an actress. I’d need someone who will be aloof to all the drama I already pack in my head and give me some stability. Actors are professional “psychopaths”, and in my opinion, two of those together won’t work.

What is your opinion on BBNaija?

I think BBN is the perfect show that helps the populace drown their responsibilities for a moment. It is an epitome of domestic immorality. A proper dehumanization of the seemingly intelligent generation of individuals. Don’t get it twisted; I could be starring in the next big semi-nude cinematic flick. Like I said, I no be angel.

  • #BBNaija: Introverted Nina presides over diary room session

The reigning head of the Big Brother Naija House, Nina shocked many viewers of the show when she presided over Friday’s diary room session.

Biggie, the unseen voice and force in the Big Brother house, usually runs the diary room but gave Nina the rare opportunity to preside over the diary room session.

This makes Nina the first ever housemate of the reality show to be given the opportunity

The housemates were instructed by Biggie to stay in the bedroom while Nina prepared herself.

One of the masked Big Brother messengers often called Ninjas by Big Brother delivered a large green notebook with a pen for her to write on.

Though it took Nina time to immerse herself into her new role, she eventually settled into it ,laughing whenever she called her fellow housemates to come to the lounge for their diary sessions.

Tobi was the only housemate barred from the diary session as he is being penalized for ignoring Big Brother last week.
